He is the President and should be addressed as such, doesn't matter if you were unelected co-president (whatever the hell that means). Additionally, "Bushie" is as spiteful as calling him "Shrub" or referring to "his daddy"; nothing but liberal perjoratives.

Call her Hildabeast next time you see her, George. If she takes offense, correct yourself and say, "I'm sorry, I meant to say Senator Hildabeast..."

Correcting myself, I see that this was supposedly Laura who said this. Isn't her name Bush too? Would she really use Bushie as a term of endearment?

Are you implying that Laura Bush should now address her husband as Mr President, even in private conversation? Seems likely to me that this is a term of endearment for those two. I think it unlikely that Laura Bush told this story without thinking about it first, and she probably even talked to her husband about it beforehand. She doesn't seem to be a careless woman. I'll even admit that I was troubled by the notion of her opining on the topic until I read the article. After reading the article, it is clear that this is a healthy marriage and they are doing what normal, happily married people do. And, most of the article focuses on Laura's obvious love, affection, trust and loyalty to her husband. Quite the opposite of the Hildebeast, don't you think?
