You have been describing your observation of cultural conditioning as it tresspasses on your very psyche.
Attempting to change behavior with fear of association does work quite well. It works best with the young ones. They are impressed upon and do not recognise any tresspass - they accept the "norm".
You are, evidently, a bit older.

No big spins, please.

The Tyson Victory Chicken Stew just wouldn't settle well with that kind of activity.

The FBI is probably concerned "christians" will disrupt screenings of the Harry Potter movie. j/k

Hitler also made people feel good about being German again..

And now the American people are giving our government all the power it supposedly needs to wage a war on terrorism.

Yep, it bugs me also.. Look at England, there are places where cameras follow people for kilometers at a stretch.

Christians do not write such screeds, only those who are wise in their own eyes do.

So is it impossible for any Christian to be "wise in his own eyes?"
Do you deny that anyone who holds a pre-millenial view of eschatology can be a "Christian?"

Methinks you have demonstrated that YOU are wise in YOUR own eyes!

I made the "Hate the UN" list for sure! The UN is a shameful organization that has done more harm around the world than any other organization I can think of at this moment!

Everyone knows that the Constitution was written to protect citizens from France, England, and the native Indians, right?

The Federal government is here to help us.

"Personally, I am not worried about Bush, Ashcroft and company. It is when they are replaced by someone like Hillary. Then we need to worry. That could happen in four years. The war would still be going on. We will have to watch this closely."

I am unable to associate myself with your thesis. If our freedoms depend on nothing more than the particular party in power, then our freedoms are simply not secure enough. The system should be strong enough to withstand the abuses of any leader who seeks to improperly increase his power. This even applies to leaders who have benign motives. The ends seldom justify the means. When I hear someone tell me to "trust" him because he will not abuse the power he has, it is a worthless assurance.

Why I should believe anything the false prophet Hal Lindsey says is beyond me. But, I am interested in where I can find the quoted FBI statement that they are looking for super-patriots.

Ah, but we are to fight against evil functions of the govt. Remember, if you take the Mark of the Beast, there is no hope of salvation. I am sorry, but submitting won't work then, now will it?? (Note: While I say this, I am not a Lindsey quack. I do not see the end of the world around the next corner. I see Lindsey and others like him as false prophets.)

Thanks for posting...the question is, what is "criminal activity." I do not think they are puttig everything in that category. THen again, they list things to be suspicious of. Are those actions then CRIMINAL ACTIVITY? I don't know.

In your reply #72 you asked for info on the reference to "Super Patriot"

Go to the link posted by ratcat:

http://www.rense.com/general17/fly.htm

This is a pamphlet from the FBI Terror Task Force in Arizona.

In the upper left hand corner under the "Right Wing Extremist" heading you will find a reference to those who defend (how about peaceful, verbal, non violent, legal defense, hmmm?) the Constitution against the Federal govenment and UN and in the same reference they are labeleled "(Super Patriots)".

This is the pamphlet that the Hal Lindsey article referred to and where the "Super Patriot" reference came from IMHO.

"You do understand that you will be vilified by the Kool-Aid drinkers, don't you?"

Well understood. But they're all versions of that adolescent from Kansas on this thread that seems to be overflowing with himself, so no biggie. You could lay Biblical quotes in front of them and they'll come up with a "blah, blah" type reply rather than Think about it.
