Just click on that, and one should pop up.

Save this URL as a bookmark (in your Internet Explorer) named "Free Republic," and you should be able to start up the "pager" window every time you log on to FR.

JohnRob created this (I think) in order to save system resources, with this "pager" you don't need to use the full "self-search" feature anymore.

You should go to the settings page in FR and change "WINDOWS" to "Blank," which means it will always open the posts in a new window. Don't close the self-search window which pops up until you're done reading the all of the posts in it.

I mean, you can ping yourself, nobody is going to stop you, but it doesn't register as a "new post to you" in the the pager.
