[history]
WHEN the terrorist gang controlled by Osama bin Laden exploded a bomb in the World Trade Center in 1993, killing six and injuring 650 others, President Clinton did not even visit the site of the attack. In his radio address the next day, he expressed his grief and outrage and four days later visited New Jersey where he sent a message to New Yorkers saluting our courage. Other than those statements, he remained aloof and uninvolved.

It doesn't seem like we had much of a president from 4/99 till 01 either. Slick spent the last years of his presidency trying to line up his future role as UN secretary general or get a nobel peace prize. He was sticking US's nose into everything, Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Isreal, Vietnam, China trying to get peace. All of them pretty much crapped out. Probably ticking off many people in the process. Meanwhile the US economy was going into the crapper.

Just had to put the blame on the republicans for standing up for the law! And what happened to all that 'compartmentalism' slick willie and his sycophants were always bragging about. Dickie is not telling us anything we didn't know from Day One. Slick loved the perks and cared not a whit for this great country, for the rule of law which he always ignored. All those who covered up for him for all those years share a huge part of the blame and there will be no forgiveness.

The Monica issue was not about sex. It was about national security.
This is what "The Praetorian Guard" (Liberals, Democrats, Leftists, so-called "journalists") could not understand--or more likely did understand but refused to acknowledge for reasons of their own.

I agree that Clinton was "incapable" of pursuing Osama, but not for the reason's Dick says. Clinton was president enough to bomb the Balkans into oblivion during those last two years, so Dick's story doesn't quite hit the mark.
I think that Bill Clinton never had the moral authority to lead us successfully thorough this battle. Not in 93, 96, or 99, and he knew it. This war is very intertwined with religion and morality. Clinton never could convincingly go there.
If Clinton tried to rally support for going after Osama after either the first WTC, US embassy or USS Cole bombings, no one would have trusted him. Not Democrats, not Republicans, not Russia and not Europe. Every syllable would have been dissected, questioned and investigated. He was wholly incapable of the kind of leadership that this requires. And worse for him, he risked alienated his allies in the media, academia and the political left by taking down several governments with military force, and they were essential to his domestic survival.
Dick has it half right, we didn't have a president capable of leading us "from January 1998 until April 1999", but with all the scandals and all the distrust throughout Clinton's presidency, he was wholly incapable of leading us in a war like this from January 1992 - January 2000.

Clinton treated the '93 attack as a criminal-justice situation not unlike the later bombing of the Federal Office Building in Oklahoma City....Because he could exploit OKC to his political advantage by blaming "militias" and "talk radio" for "creating an atmosphere" that led to the attack.
If we want to talk about "creating an atmosphere", he certainly set the stage for the 9-11 attack by sitting on his pudgy ass, getting BJ's from interns and doing nothing about the militant islamic threat to our country. He had plenty of opportunities to act.

Bill Clinton really would have rather been a Hollywood movie star but never had any kind of looks so being president was close in his mind.

When this guy was first elected I said, "Someday we'll see him fat and bloated and sitting all alone in a garden somewhere talking about what 'could have been'." It's just not happening fast enough for me but it's happening. He's a sad, lonely character...just what he deserves to be.

It makes you wonder, was Monica really in love or did she have a job to do. Monica worked for the Democratic party, her roll was to help keep the Rapist out of the headlines. The Dems cried it was all about sex, today we know different. Ground Zero and the Pentagon was not about sex it was all about bring a country to it's knees. I wonder how Money feels today about 7,000 people killed in the attacks against this country? I wonder if she sleeps well knowing she played a big roll in keeping Clinton in office and by keeping him in office many people are dead. If Clinton was removed and another administration was put in place, perhaps the attacks on this country would not have taken place. I still think Daschle and Trent Lott belong behind bars for their roll in the corrupt impeachment trial.

Should read "While Clinton Slept Around." No doubt about it: the blood of 5000 Americans who died on Sept 11 is on Clintons hands. His complete failure of leadership and preoccupation with his sexual misconduct during his presidency is a direct cause of the Sept 11 attacks.

While Clinton Slept? And the stain on Monica's blue dress was really a wetdream?

"Clinton was removed, uninvolved, and distant where the war on terror was concerned." - "Blame whoever you want, but we were without a president from January 1998 until April 1999." This article fails to mention the fact that bastard Bill Clinton cut back on human intelligence!

Exactly. And of course, bastard scumbag Bill Clinton was more concerned with blue dresses then national security. Did bastard Bill Clinton ponder over terrorism and national security while he was in the Oval Office bathroom with the whoreface? NO!

Unfortunately, it should read "While America Slept" or "Slept Around".

You're right- there's no substitute for "a guy on the ground, walking & talking...."- the hi-tech stuff is good, but you need people, too.
This grabbed me:
"Blame whoever you want, but we were without a president from January 1998 until April 1999."
Really? So who was the guy occupying the White House? Some doppelganger? Nice try at shifting blame....

Clinton slept...
But what are the promotors [and payees] of his $100,000 speeches on?
To: Terry Mross
You are too kind to this perverted anti-American. I thought: and said that before those two left the White house, we would have armed soldiers and check points. In the land of the free. Unfortunately I was correct. I also said he was the Anti-Christ-ridiculuous No doubt, but then again????????
