At Kandahar, tribal leaders opposed to the regime agreed to allow Taliban forces to leave the city but said thousands of Arabs, Chechens and Pakistani supporters of Bin Laden were staying to fight. Thousands more were standing their ground in Konduz in the face of a Northern Alliance offensive expected today. They threatened to massacre civilians if the Alliance attacked.
Yeah, must be the foreign policy of those Afghani civilians that will cause them to be massacred.

"Tony Blair is growing increasingly frustrated with the administration of President George W Bush for not pursuing diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives more vigorously."
And just would dear Tony purpose that we do? Bed Bin Laden to come forward? Guranatee him his punishment as life in prison with a color T.V. all his medical and dental care for free? Other men to sexually assault instead of women? After all nothing is too much to ask for a terrorist, right?

"One refugee said he had seen a British man questioning a Taliban deserter."
"I say, old chap, 'aven't seen old Osama lately, have you?"

The Alliance is getting might uppity for a ragtag bunch of camel herders who only got where they are because of Allied support. I don't recall us agreeing to stomp the grapes and then turn over the wine to the warlords. This was supposed to be a marriage of convenience, and now the groom's kicking us out of bed? Not likely.

Typos corrected:

The Americans are interested only in trying to get Bin Laden and push the Taliban further back.Spot on !!
To: Pokey78
sounds like the heat is bieng added to the bin ladin fire.Hopefully he is near his end.

I still believe that Osama is not so dumb so as to not have left the country weeks ago.
He's not like the foolishly fanatic Taliban - he's quite shrewd and rich - and rich people don't like to be martyred.

said Geoff Hoon, the defence secretary. "The space he has to operate in is now very limited indeed." The disclosure reflected a growing confidence in intelligence circles that they would find Bin Laden soon. Maybe we should look in Hildebeast Klintoons space of her home in Washington D.C. or New York!

A cabinet minister said: "The Americans are interested only in trying to get Bin Laden and push the Taliban further back. Tony's view is that now is the moment to get in there, both in terms of humanitarian aid and the diplomatic front."Not really, we have a whole bunch of poles for heads to be mounted. Bin Laden will be but the first.

To: knighthawk
