[Excerpt from Dunne's latest Vanity Fair column:]
In 1999, when I was covering the impeachment of President Clinton for this magazine, I wrote about the appalling manners of Congressman Tom DeLay during Clintons State of the Union speech. I reported the smirk on his face and the fact that he didnt stand when the president entered the chamber. Well, fairs fair. I have stuck by Hillary Clinton through thick and thin, despite the consternation this caused several of my friends. But she lost me on September 20 with her appalling manners during President Bushs magnificent speech to Congress and the nation.
What was her problem? She looked mad and mean, with a scowl on her face and a hard glint in her eye. Her hand-clapping was tepid, and it appeared that she wasnt even listening to the speech. It seemed selfish of her to be caught up in her own concerns during one of the most united moments in the history of the country. I realized that night that this new president has strength, zeal, and star power. The government was swept away in patriotic fervor, but Hillary was pissed off, about what well never know. How strange, I though, the second time the camera cut to her, that a person who had lived in the public eye as the First Lady for eight years could allow herself to be caught in that mood.
HILLARY'S GOALS ARE THE SAME AS THOSE OF THE TERORRISTS:
To destroy America and President Bush and all who love freedom!
So, of course, she behaved the way she did!
She behaved the way any Marxist, Maoist, Terrorist would have behaved sitting before our President making the most important and best speech of our time. She could not tolerate it. Evil has a very difficult time around "goodness" and Satan, the father of lies, whose minions likely indwell Hillary, has a very very difficult time around the TRUTH.
In the face of goodness and truth, evil just squirms.
THAT is what most of these "writers" are missing....primarily because they, too, even now, cannot deem one thing "evil" or another "good" because all is relative, you know?
Yep, you're right!
That and ignoring him and his spouse.
The good nature between the Bush's and Putin's, just has to be eating him up from the inside. I look for some type of comment from him (in the near future) about that comaraderie because he just can't stand it. When he does, I think that he'll take another slide downwards.
I'm looking forwards to it!

The few times Lady Macbeth has looked pleasant, feminine, or happy are those moments when she screwed up her acting ability to the max. All the accounts of her normal behavior suggest that she is normally angry. She seems to go from anger to physical fury rather easily. So I think we just saw her relaxed, being herself. She might have hoped to rally the extreme Left around her. Maybe. More likely she was suffering from extreme jealousy. She lost her position of power and at the great speech felt the whole world turning to President Bush.
Lady Macbether knows better than all of us how weak the Big Lug is. I imagine that would also peeve her, to realize that Bush was being a real man while the Rapist cowered in a fetal position on the sofa (until he was before the cameras). That's what Dick Morris said about Clinton. She took over while he assumed a fetal position on the couch.
I suggest going easy on Dominick Dunne. His daughter was murdered and the thug got off. I have lost two daughters from illness. Believe me, that is nothing compared to murder. I have known several parents whose children were murdered. No one recovers from it. I respect Dunne for going after the rich trash murderers who kill and get away with it. He really broke the Mosley case - along with Mark Furman.
While we are talking about camera behavior, Dunne is right about being rude. There is no place for it. If I didn't want to hear President W. C. Fields, I would not show up. Mugging and shunning are disrespectful of the office of the president. Tip O'Neil used to act like an idiot during Reagan's speeches. I thought it reflected on Tipsy and not on Dutch.
As you should be. After all, he's never disappointed us yet, has he? :-)
Wow, so many ways to put this.....
She's a big fat ugly ______. (Is that insulting _____s?) Actually, yes, it insults my very nice ______. Use your imagination.
Exactly! Remember that prior to 9-11; she was the media's darling....everything she did was reported. And she was all set to launch her mega Bush Bashing......although she's taken some snipes at the Bush Tax Cut recently; she knows that with his approval ratings over 80% she fighting an uphill battle to try to discredit the President.....it probably makes her more b*tchy!
Hillary resented Bush being able to bring the country together.
Her dream was spending 4 years mocking Bush's speech patterns. She could see the press finding each word mispronounced and jumping on it. How superior they would all feel compared to the cowboy from Texas...
Then in one night, it was over. All the phony superiority, all the inside jokes, all the jaded boredom. Bush was accepted. Bush was being applauded. Bush belonged. And Hillary was out. No one to roll her eyes with. Just out. Out of sight, out of power, out of smugness.
She is a boil on the butt.
