[history]
Which, for the rest of the nation, can mean only a bitter disappointment: No Donald Rumsfeld news briefing from the Pentagon Friday.
We'll see him here, reviewing graduating sailors at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center. He'll offer a "media availability," too. But don't hold your breath. No Rummy-isms expected.
Rummy's Pentagon briefings have become as addictive as any soap opera and more inspiring than "Oprah." Rummy doesn't have to remind anyone, Oprah-style, about "Remembering Your Spirit." He oozes American's fighting spirit from every steely pore.

I must admit, I'm a huge fan. I sleep better knowing that real men are in charge of the country. From President Bush to Vice Presidnet Cheney to Secretary Rumsfeld it is an enormouse relief to have leaders worthy of our trust.

I agree whole-heartedly about Rumsfeld, and the sincerity of His press briefings.
He is not a slick spin artist, and really believes in what He is doing.
He would make a for a good President.

I'm watching the SecDef's press conference from GLNB as I read this, and it just occured to me that if health reasons preclude Cheney from running again...well, Rumsfield would be a perfect VP candidate...

Rumsfeld ROCKS. I cannot think of a more steely-eyed, forceful person for this job.
To: sanchmo
BTW: I bet the liberals HATE Rumsfeld.

But there is no reason the attributes of good corporate leadership--decisiveness, accountability, job knowledge and vision--shouldn't also serve in government.hmmmmmmmm................sounds a lot like his boss, doesn't he??
Rumsfeld is an important member of one of the finest, if not the finest administrative teams in America's history, thanks to the wisdom, vision, and leadership of George W. Bush!
GO RUMMY!!!!
