Full Metal Jacket' Oh yes. The romance, the pathos. I especially liked the love scene between Sgt. Hartman and Pvt Pyle:
Hartman: Now you listen to me, Private Pyle, and, yor listen good. I want that weapon, and I want it now!
You will place that rifle on the deck at your feet and step back away from it. With a twisted smile on his face Pyle points his rifle at Hartman.
Hartman looks suddenly calm, his eyes, his manner are those of a wanderer who has found his home.
Hartman: What is your major malfunction, numbnuts?!!
Didn't Mommy and Daddy show you enough attention when your were a child?!!!
BANG!!
The round hits Hartman in the chest.
He falls back dead.
Why the love in Sgt. Hartman's eyes as he falls back is just wonderful. Such love! A true romance, right up to the end!

I'm glad somebody else saw it. It gave me brain damage, I think.
But that little brat on the bike got what was coming, Mrs. Schumaker too!
Ronald wasn't bad, he was just misunderstood.

Random Harvest with Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson. It has the elegance and poignancy of a bygone day when self-restraint and thought for others preceeded concern for self.

Young Frankenstein.
"My, what big Knockers."
"Care for a roll in the hay?"
"He was...My Boyfriend!"
"Abby, something..."
and, of course:

LOL! Hey, I saw "Bad Ronald", too! I remember watching it as a wee lad and it stuck with me all these years. I thought I was the only one who remembered that made-for-TV movie. It was very disturbing.

All the artwork on the wall; the growing fantasyland; Ronald's declining personal hygiene; little blonde girls in tennis outfits; Ronald bursting out of the wall....
Help me! I need an expulsive set of mental images!

My husband gave me "Pride and Prejudice" last Christmas. I watched all 6 hours the first night, and then again, I think, the next day.
I also like "Sense and Sensibility".
"Somewhere in Time" is good.
"You've Got Mail".
"Sleepless in Seattle." (And, of course, "An Affair to Remember". )
"Now Voyager".
