Oh, thank you! Thank you! I was looking for that picture a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find it. I've got it saved now.

The White House press corps could take lessons from these kids who ask better questions! (Note to Helen Thomas: RETIRE.)How about this? Note to Helen Thomas: Crawl back under your rock. :-)

...But I wanna see how he looks when Mr. Ex-KGB Dude get ahold of a jalapeno - or is that when a jalapeno gets ahold of HIM...Never thought that Putin plans to meet ex- prosecutor general.
Jalapeno is good. But RUSSIAN mustard has the upper hand!

That's a great photo.
I'm not down on Senator Lott like some on Free Republic but the photo proves the adage "You can never be so bad as to have some redeeming quality. You can always serve as a horrible example."

You had to ask! These are the DemonRAT Underground; an interesting place to go for a good laugh, or when you're feeling bad about YOURSELF, or just when you feel like you need to puke. And as to whether they can spin it....go here:

CathyRyan, I don't know how old you are but I can say that ( as a 34 yr old mom of 4 )that I completely concur. I have never lived in an era when Presidents can be considered "sexy" but dang if Bush ( Putin don't look bad either ) ain't as sexy as he can be!
He's just so natural and handsomely rugged looking.
Imagine that. A sexy President. To be fair though, Laura Bush is a beautiful woman as well.

Putin is indeed a devout Orthodox Christian. The church is part of many of his ceremonies in Russia. He also attends regularly and confesses at a monastery. He wears his baptismal cross always.

Does anyone know what his ethnic background is? I haven't read anything about his background, but I tend to suspect he may be of Latvian descent. (In Latvian, a "putin" is--yes--a bird.)
Plus, he just plain looks Latvian. My mother's family came from that country, so I've seen a lot of Latvian men. They're a...uh...well...distinctive-looking lot. My maternal grandfather, actually, was a dead-ringer for Putin. I'll have to read up on the guy some more and see if I'm right.

Wife and I were saying that Putin has the looks like he could have been in a James Bond movie. Osama Bin Laden: Do you expect me to talk?
Putin: NO I expect you to DIE!

Magnificent 7 - Yul Brenner - wore a black outfit. I can see why there would be a similarity to Putin. Interesting??

Actually, he reminds me of Yul Brinner in "WestWorld"!
("WestWorld" was the movie from the 80's in which the robot gunslinger in the fake Western 'Disneyland' goes berzerk and starts shooting the paying customers. Very bad for repeat business.)

They probably both need each other for moral support. As they say, it's hard to find friends at the top. No wonder they relate so well to each other.

There seems to be a Suomi look about him. Since he's from St. Petersburg,
and Finland is so close by, he could have some Finn in his ancestry.
He's such a breath of fresh air!
