I just got a copy of the 1995 video "Jihad in America" yesterday, from the WorldNetDaily site. I watched it last night.
While the video was made for PBS in 1995, it does have a brief update at the beginning, dealing with the WTC attack and other things that have transpired since 1995.
People, we are in a world of trouble. I STRONGLY urge you to get this video, ASAP. WorldNetDaily sells it, and you may be able to find it elsewhere. You really won't understand what the threat that we face is until you've seen it.
The Taliban isn't the problem. Osama bin Laden isn't the problem. True, they're pieces of the problem, but only pieces. The biggest part of the threat we face consists of the fact that there are thousands of active followers of Islam who want to destroy America FROM THE INSIDE, and they're primed and ready to go. This video includes scenes secretly taped at several radical Islam "events," where various leaders urged the people attending - and there were hundreds at each meeting - to kill, to shoot, that the "blood must flow, that limbs must be cut off," etc. Folks, these meetings didn't take place in Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia - they took place in Kansas, New Jersey, Florida, etc. These people are well established in American communities, and they've been preparing for several years now. Remember, this video was made in 1995.
One of the updates at the beginning of the video included the fact that a meeting was held in September of 2000 wherein several major players in America's defense community were called to Washington to take part in computer simulations to determine what the biggest threats are currently to America, and to see how they could be effectively dealt with. The result was that, essentially, China isn't the biggest threat. Russia isn't the biggest threat. The biggest threat is radical Islam. In fact, the video states that in 10 hours of computer simulation no sufficient answers for defense or deterrence were found that were adequate to keep America from suffering greatly and our lives as Americans from being permanently changed by attacks from radical Islam.
I came away from watching this video stunned - and thinking that these people are the equivalent of rabid dogs. If this isn't dealt with, right now, INSIDE AMERICA, we are going to lose this country. Rabid dogs are shot or otherwise killed, because they are, purely and simply, too dangerous to allow to live, as well as being incurable.
Between this extreme form of Islam and the rapid elimination of our rights as citizens under the guise of fighting terrorism, we are in a world of hurt right now, people.
I'm about as strict a Constitutionalist as you're likely to find. But we MUST do something about radical Islam before it destroys this country. I propose a constitutional amendment that removes many of the rights in the Bill of Rights FOR FOLLOWERS OF ISLAM ONLY until we can get a handle on this. The wholesale abrogation of the rights of ALL citizens that's being conducted right now by "our" federal government is extreme overkill - it should be limited to proponents of radical Islam, since they are, in actuality, the only real threat among the people living here. "Our" government is using Islamic terrorism as an excuse to clamp down on good American citizens, and that cannot and need not be accepted or tolerated. The "USA Patriot Act" should be limited to followers of Islam, as should all "terrorist" legislation and executive orders dealing with terrorism in the forseeable near future. There *IS* no threat from anybody else to this country, but the threat from radical Islam is EXTREME.
ALL followers of radical Islam should be deported from this country NOW. Period. Rounded up and sent away. Before their plan to destroy America bears more fruit. And NO Middle Eastern people should be granted visas of any type until this is all sorted out. If we don't take extreme measures like this, America is going to be destroyed.
Get the video. Order it NOW. You need to see what we're up against. It's a lot worse than you think.
Because of what that video showed, plus the fact that 09/11/01 validated it in spades.
Radical Islam is NOT a religion - it's a disease. See the video and you'll agree.
Maybe the simulation didn't consider an attack on the WTC, the rounding up of 1200+ suspects, and a counterattack against the perps, their followers, and their supporters.
Which is why I suggested a specific Constitutional amendment, rather than the broad "Patriot Act," would be more appropriate.
The devil is ALWAYS in the details. But if the people who filmed the video were able to determine what meetings to go to, etc., I think we could use their knowledge and techniques to get to the bottom of a significant portion of exactly who to target. That and eliminating visas for Middle Eastern males temporarily would accomplish a lot.
Maybe we should rethink the issue of sedition? How do we do that and not violate free speech?
Precisely. And it's not by accident. They fund their worldwide movement with American money, they make their videos and literature here (detailing how they are going to destroy us), etc. etc.
Don't have to, but I will order it -- I already know the militant Muslims have already infiltrated America in order to propagate their agenda to destroy us from within, thus we are at war.
Homeland Security must consider them potential spies, enemies of the State, threats to our national security, and must act accordingly.
I've quoted Mr. Franklin hundreds of times in the last several years myself. And I still agree.
Are we going to start throwing up road blocks every time we're attacked or threatened? Where does it stop? At some point in time, you may find that you could be a member of a group the government decides to target
Again, that's why I suggest SPECIFICALLY targeting radical Islamists rather than ALL Americans, as the so-called "Patriot" act and Bush's military trials executive order do. THEY can and probably will be used against good Americans - my suggestion cannot.
I saw this video in Church about 1995 or 96, and it was scarey then, especially when I recognized the gun range in CT they said had the terrorists training at! That is the range where myself and some co-workers used to shoot at!
That, of course, is the crux of the bisquit.
I'd say pass the amendment with it defined broadly and apply it as sparingly as necessary.
RealAudio (RealMedia) RealPlayer.
I got the VHS video and haven't seen the downloadable version.
And I would counter that with one word: context.<br. Having read much of Franklins written works, I have a strong suspicion that, faced with Islam, he would qualify that statement.
