I'll bet there's a lot of beard shaving and baptisms going on. The Taliban are just going to evaporate.

Here's an article from the Guardian, UK - which may explain about the NA takeover of Kandahar.

Thanks, I just remembered what I was trying to recall, which would be perfect for caves.

Perhaps the Taliban are feeling guilty about sponsoring and harboring that LOSER jerk Osama bin Laden, and decided they shouldn't fight during Ramadan.

Good news... well, "good" enough, anyway... if true.

Out with the old rats, in with the new.

For the record, I remain in favor of permanently vacating the rat's nest once the old rats have been exterminated. I doubt FedGov will do so, but that's how things go.

As I understand it, FAE's aren't designed for hardened bunkers (like caves) since they need alot of space to arisolize the fuel and can't burrow through the rock.

They are called fuel air bombs! I heard something funny on IMUS in the morning... Tell the N.A. to stay out of Bagdad!

Now that the Taliban are almost out of the picture do you think the UN will get the balls to do something about this "horrible humanitarian crisis"?

What's the name of those nifty bombs that suck all the oxygen out of the air? We could use a couple of those in the caves.

FAE
Fuel Air Explosive Device

Oh well, there is always Iraq...

That's right. Next stop: IRAQ

PS: I think it's worth repeating that the seasoned "warriors" who defeated the Russians did it only because THE AMERICANS WERE BEHIND THEM. PERIOD.

Now if the chinese stay out of it, we should wrap up the afghan business in no time.

His contract with Fox doesn't start until Nov 16 (as I recall). He is still broadcasting the Whorealdo Rivers show from CNBC - at least he was tonight.

President Bush, please please tell the Northern Alliance to stay OUT of Baghdad!

Might as well get them ready for Phase II - the removal Saddam Hussein and liberation of Iraq! Hopefully, the student revolution in Iran will follow.
