Though the Discovery Channel occasionally produces some good objective programs, when it comes to guns and RKBA most, if not all, of their creative production staff hate them and support gun control.

So when will the New York Democrat Party, with the help of RINOs (Republicans-In-Name-Only) pass an "Anti-Box Cutter and Plastic Knife Safety Registration Airline Security Act"? (/sarcasm off)
To: Hail Caesar
Terrorists do not want armed subjects. They have that in common.

I recommend a class action law suit naming every government official, every private organization and every private individual that has conspired to deprive citizens of their constitutionally guaranteed second ammendment rights. The NRA should have done this decades ago. If nobody does, we're going to loose everything.
When our rights are recognized right up there with civil right for minorities, then we'll have won the battle.
State Attorney Generals are required by law to defend constitutional rights against infringement. There isn't an AG in this nation that wouldn't jump in if a minority individual's rights were being infringed. Fat chance getting them to do that for gun owners.
The penalities are severe. They should be brought to bare.

Well, the million mom march will be short that one anti-gunner who got a gun and murdered the wrong person that she said killed her son! Woops. Maybe she will speak from experience via video connection or something like that. Maybe Susan "the commie" Sarandon will go to the prison to interview her for the anti-gunners and say, this is what happens when you get a gun. A good person goes bad. Latada latada.

I'm a solid conservative who is openly pleased that Earley lost. The governership is worthless to Warner as long as liberal republicans don't give him their support. The NRA probably feared waking up their conservative Virginia members to their hypocrisy, thus their waffling, pseudo endorsement of Earley.
People who care more about conservatism than they do about a treacherous party are happy to have a eunuch in the governor's seat. Earley could have gotten everything Warner wanted passed because of his party affiliation. People are wise to the GOP's duplicity and are starting to drift away. Your fear mongering over what Warner would like to do is pitiful. It didn't work during the campaign and it won't work now.
Maryland is in worse shape than Virginia. Direct your efforts toward home.

Perhaps a lie: From San Diego...
California gun sales Jane Terrell Published September 28 2001, 8:36 AM PDT
SAN DIEGO -- Gun sales spiked after the terrorist attacks and the number of background checks for them is way up in California.
People on both sides of gun control issues say Americans have a growing sense of vulnerability, and owning guns makes them feel more secure. Between September 10th and Sunday, California logged more than 18,000 background checks for gun purchases. That's up by five thousand from last year.

Believe it or not, there is a NYC law on the books controlling sales of box cutters and laser pointers to minors.
Here is the link. (Note the date: 04-Sep-01!)
Some politicians believe it is possible to specify everything that might be used as a weapon and make them illegal. Of course, we know that the real solution is to go after the people who misuse whatever, but that would imply personal responsibility, wouldn't it?

World Gun Sales Boom in California After Terror Attacks The gun sales in California have skyrocketed dramatically as many people buy guns to boost safety after the September 11 terror attacks, the Justice Department said Friday.
The department said there was a significant increase in gun sales in the last two weeks after terrorists rammed hijacked airliners into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, killing about 6,000 people.
More than 9,000 guns were sold in California in the week of the September 11 attacks, 31 percent up over the same week of last year, the department said.
Last week, the numbers jumped even higher. A total of 9,556 guns were sold in a seven-day period, 6,000 more than the same week last year.
Some people are also buying targets with the face of Osama bin Laden printed on it, and the group selling the targets is donating the profits to a charitable organization.
Another tidbit from same site/same date.

I imagine most Californians who want guns bought them when
Gray Davis won the election, knowing that new bad laws
would result. Perhaps the market is saturated?
To: Tony in Hawaii
True...I would not be surprised either if they are traveling to gun shows in other states to purchase a gun.

This is quite a contracdiction when Sarah said her organization was out of funds....It's pretty clear that we need to check our her fund resources.
This is so absurd! Back home in CA, some guy shot a deputy while going through a metal detector in Family Court. There was a big study about security. I know for a fact that most attorneys and judges decided to just carry as the cure!
