Is that "a police action, wink, wink"? I take it that "Democrats do it too" isn't seriously intended as a excuse for violating the constitution ...

Over at DU they're jumping for joy, as if Gore's going to be moving in to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave tomorrow morning. They really think this means something.
They're just suffering from dementia because of Bush's high approval rating. If this report said Gore won by 1 vote because a Hershey Bar Wrapper with Gore's name on it was included in the tally they'd still be having joygasm's.

OMG, so true!

Anyway, what worries me is that Bush is going to feel so emasculated that he'll do something incredibly boneheaded in order to keep the country in his corner. Please stop going over there. You'll go blind.

This is actually patheticly funny! If all the ballots that voted for 2 Presidents were given to Gore, and if all the ballots that voted for no President were given to Gore then he wins!!!!!These people are certifiable!!!

Do you and your husband support the US Constitution, or do you pick and choose the parts you like depending on the circumstances?
To: Howlin
I can only imagine what the ballots look like now. After all this time and the amount of people handling them how could they get an accurate count?

I am so sick of this $hit! The Miami Herald and USA Today, the liberal's mecca reporting services, in a not-so-publicised report, already admitted that if they were to recount, unconstitutionally (state constitution for Florida) as Gore had requested, that Bush still won. This case is closed.(period)

That will be 1 on the top classics of all time .

[All else is trivia.]
People are getting pretty worked up here over trivia. If the media reported that the price of eggs had gone up in Bolivia, I predict one wouldn't see the same sort of response on FR. That's because statements regarding trivia such as the price of eggs in Bolivia cannot (at least without further information) be spun to serve some biased political agenda. Statements regarding trivia such as how many "ballots were cast for Gore, according to Definition X of 'ballot cast for Gore'" can be spun, and are being spun, to serve a biased political agenda.
Which is why some folks on FR are ticked off. It's very understandable to be ticked off when presented with blatantly biased lying spun propaganda dressed up as a news report.

One thing everyone forgets to count down here in Florida; the 2,000 write in votes done in purple crayon by the "Gore's Older Overvoting National Supporters" (GOONS for short) that were rejected in several counties down here. Maybe next time they should use the ballots they were issued instead of making up their own.

So there is a little honesty in media coverage. Must have Brian's good deed for the day.

I think everyoine is missing the GOOD news about this report. About two months ago when this report was originally delayed Democrat consultants leaked to the press that the report showed Gore won by thousands of votes. This report, showing that if you give him every imaginable vote he wins by, at the most, 171 votes is the fianl nail in the coffin of the "Bush stole the election" myth.

Is that "a police action, wink, wink"? I take it that "Democrats do it too" isn't seriously intended as a excuse for violating the constitution ... The current action in Afghanastan was specifically authorized by a vote of the Congress. Whether they want to call it a "declaration or war" or not, that's what it was.
Since Congress voted to authorize the action in Afghanastan, whether or not Bush needed that authorization is kind of moot.

lmaorof Oh that was great!

Drudge? World exclusive? Hmm, must be Sunday evening again?

Ouch. That I wasn't wearing a cup there TLBSHOW. I meant that I hope something anything! happens to just ruin the launch of this pointless story. I didn't mean to say Bush should launch an attack on some country for distraction. Just wishing some kind of newsworthy story actually grabs headlines instead of this crap.

Gore edged ahead of Bush under all the scenarios for counting all undervotes and overvotes statewide
All "overvotes" and all "undervotes" statewide are all invalid votes and aren't, by definition, to be counted as a vote. Besides, "undervote" means, "no vote was cast for president, but based on other votes we can guess that the voter would have voted for Gore, if he had voted". But he didn't vote. Presumably because he couldn't bring himself to vote for such a shmuck and decided, as is his right as a voter, to abstain from voting. The main point of this story is that it is based on an entirely nonsensical approach to the matter: You don't get a vote if one wasn't cast for you. If a vote was cast for you and for your opponent on the same ballot, then neither of you gets the vote. In the end, only a properly marked ballot counts as a vote. Period. The true story here is the lengths to which people will go to avoid facing up to reality.

Well no wonder. To follow those instructions you had to have an IQ of over 40. Clearly, they discriminated against Soreloserman's core voters.
