In light of the soon to be released "recount" of the Presidential Election in Florida, here is all you need to know.
BUSH...............TIME LEFT.................GORE
.271.................0:00.....................266
.................RECOUNTS LEFT
...3............................................0
I guess Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin were totally stupid and a blasphemous people. I gather I can rest assured you didn't pray that Bush would be elected. I gather you don't pray for the President and this country in this time. Oh but that would be blasphemous and totally stupid.
I don't think he means to be disrespectful to those who died for our country. These are not normal times. It couldn't be left to the whims of fools who can't even navigate a ballot, spinmeisters and the like. This time God needed the leader of this country to be GWB and not goron.
But you're correct about Bush vs gore. . .Thanks, friend for your input!
Just a few miles from Midland. Guess we both are in Bush Country! Thanks for your words. I am steadfast. Persistent to some. Stubborn to others. LOL tis alright I'm just me.
"And he changeth the times and the seasons; he removeth kings and setteth up kings........" Daniel 2:21"
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God. The powers that be are ordained by God." Romans 13:1.
In a democratic republic God uses the voters to execute his sovereign will in the matter of "ordaining" leaders, but he always remains in control behind the scenes. You might ask, "Did God ordain Clinton?" It may be hard to accept that God "ordained" someone like Clinton to hold the nation's highest office, but I believe he has his own reasons for whatever he does even though we often can't see it here and now.
Christians have to rely on this promise:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
And on this admonition:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 3:5.
You don't have to believe me, but you would be wise to believe God's word.
My champaign got warm LOooonnnnnnngggg ago too! Drats!
