For those of you who don't know much about me, I am an 18 year old college student. I am a right wing conservative who attends a liberal college. Something happened in my college english class today that I had to report. I was verbally attacked by a Muslim student. I'm not lying about this one. I'm not going to mention anynames or the school I go to. Yeah, I'd love a FReep, but trust me they'd know I was behind it.

Just to educate everyone on what exactly has been going on in this certain class, my college professor is a leftist activist. It is sickening. Half the class has been filled via Affirmative Action. The teacher uses her position to fill the class with her psychotic liberal ideas. And the morons are buying it. She is adamantly against the war, I was real tempted to bring up the topic of sedition but I was afraid I would fail. She already called me a racist for writing a paper on pro-profiling.

Today she was discussing that gays should be allowed in the boyscouts. For crying out loud, for the whole term the topic has been on "tolerance" and "diversity" it makes me want to puke. Being the right wing extremist "hate monger" (that's what they call me) that I am I brought up NAMBLA and how many gays, who want to be in the boy scouts, are perverts. I just got attacked by her as a homophobe and intolerant.

Anyways it moved onto her arguing that there should not be any bombing in Afghanistan. That we were "no better than the terrorists". I spoke up as usual and listed off just what these so called religious men of the Taliban do. I ended up getting to the part of the Taliban Superbowl which is that they cut the head of a calf in a stadium and everyone goes nuts. Then to the topic of sexual mutilation that the Taliban performs on women.

Rudely interupting me the Muslim speaks up: Shut Up, Shut Up, you don't know what your talking about. I said that this is true facts. To sum it up he interrupted again saying that the sexual mutilation and the cutting the head off a calf was accepted in the "Holy Book" I don't know if that's true or not (I really don't care). Now from what I know about him he is of Iranian decent and is a big guy. He kept glaring at me, I don't really care. He then said that I am an outspoken #$%#@@$%$ who hasn't shut up all term... which is partly true.

Everything is just coming clear to me now that our education system is falling apart. How can we conduct a war when there are terrorist sympathists in the country? Don't worry FReeper the moron won't attack me because to tell you the truth, a lot of the kids in the class actually say to me constantly, "wow you make a lot of sense". Yeah its called conservativism.

I had one of these nutcases for a political science teacher way back when I was in high school. Fortunately, it was a very conservative area and the class was not fooled for a minute. As a matter of fact, we routinely brought her to tears. She would storm out of the room in utter disgust and frustration. LOL.

Great job! Keep it up... how are you graded by this a-hole, bitter, loser, "victim" instructor?? You may have to be careful if grading is subjective (a la blue book) vs. objective. There is no way she will grade you on merit.

You can too write...inspite of your education!

My experience w/academia came from going back to school to get my BS (I earned my RN from a hosp. nursing program, and I had to go back to school to get the degree if I was ever going to be promoted, even though my nursing training was more intensive in the RN program than what I experienced at the Univ., but I digress). I was a late twenty something, married, w/small children at home, going to class parttime. I DID NOT have any time or patience for sitting in class listening to the drivel (it was anti-Reagan, pro-choice, anti big business rantings) in a REQUIRED English (not Lit, not Semantics, Debate, etc.) English class.

I lost patience, had enough one morning, asked 'what the h#ll any of this had to do with writing and left the class (I was exhausted from work and kids). Went to my counselor and stated I wanted into another class, or my tuition (ie. loan money) credited. I remember the kid telling me I would need to have 'peer counseling' or some other such non-sense to switch classes at that point for the reason of being offended by the Prof. I remember telling him that I lived in the real world as a grown up and I was not going to waste my time and money. If he couldn't help me, he was to get me his supervisor IMMEDIATELY. Needless to say I got switched into another class. Sometimes its good to be the squeeky wheel.

What the hell does "tolerance and diversity", gays in the Boy Scouts and the bombing of Afghanistan have to do with learning proper English? Or even English literature for Pete's sake?!
Do yourself a favor. If you need this grade, zip your lip and get A's. This 'English class' of yours is not the time or place to try to show liberals the error of their ways.
This professor is a lost cause and doesn't amount to a puddle of spit in the grand scheme of things. Dont waste your breath.

History major, eh? Good choice. Make sure you take the most challenging courses available. Find out who the crummy profs are and avoid them. If you land in one of their classes, be a thorn in their side. Work your butt off and DON'T let them get away with giving you a bad grade based on your beliefs. Make sure to take up any undeserved bad grades with them in their office. And document everything.

If you take your education seriously and stick to your guns, you can learn a lot and make the radical profs' lives miserable. That's what I did...

Right on, kid. That class is rough duty and you are doing great. Hang in, as you noted, others are sorting it out for themselves. My daughter went through some of that in high school. She wasn't as well armed as you to respond.

What people do not realize is that a lot of citizens forget what these students face in these idiotic liberal colleges, and, have to deal with each day. Clueless PC Clowns like those described, AND, the need to justify why these Morons should be listened to, makes NO sense. Here's another thing to think about. If you go outside of your school and throw a rock in any direction the chances of hitting a dem lib in your Rebublican Stronghold area is almost nil. I've got to believe that many that hear you agree and you are certainly articulate enough to get them thinking.

Congrats to you on getting thru the Peoples Republic Of Madison. I do wonder about your sanity at having a go at it for another 3 years in law school there, though! But sounds like you can handle it.

I work for another Big 10 university - much more conservative and in the top 10 academically among the "non-privates." I used to be at the Peoples Republic branch in Mpls-St. Paul. I think UW-Madison is even worse than U of MN.

Second moral of the story is that speaking out in class usually leads to a lesser grade...Still worth it I think...

Not if you do it right. I was stuck in a 'Sociology of Latin America' class as part of my 'socio/anthro' requirement. The first day of class, the professor asked all the registered Republicans in the class to raise their hands, which I, and about 5 other people did. She responded that she would 'change that' by the end of the semester. Well, the other four dropped the class, but I didn't. I became the biggest pain in her ass imaginable. I worked my butt off, researched, studied, and did well on the tests.

I did my major paper on nuclear power in Latin America (a topic she didn't want to know about) and wrote a critical essay of a book she had us read - complete with outside research to point out why/where the author was wrong, unclear, or biased. I got a C on that one. I stomped over to her office after class, paper in hand, and made her go over it with me and explain exactly why I got the C. End result: She changed the grade to an A- and didn't mess with me after that.

So the solution is, be smarter and work harder than the professor. With most of the looney, braindead leftists teaching these days, that's not too hard to accomplish.
