I, too, have been haunted by the thought of those poor souls who made the choice. As with any horror, it helps to talk and retalk about it.
I've often wondered what I would do. If it was my choice to jump, would I want to see below me, or fall with my eyes facing above, as if facing my maker. I guess I would choose facing above, but I don't think that choice was even given to them. They just had to escape. My only hope was that these poor people were so stunned by the situation that they were numbed and felt nothing.
God rest their souls.
Our government must not let this happen again. Mr. Cheney said today he believes it will happen again. What kind of message does that send to the enemy?
