there were no miracles coming to save them...there was no way to hope for a miracle

Just how do you know that? God can work miracles anytime there is a righteous purpose for it.

Were you there? Did you know right from the start how deadly that fire was, how godawful it was? It was all-consuming.

I'm sure you're happy to know that many, many people did as you claim you would have done, and now their bodies will never be found, as they've been incinerated to ashes.

post 148 --- you are a perverse little pri*k for questioning the decision by doomed folks to jump to their death rather than burn in an inferno. I really would be curious to see if you would sit your little a** on the burning, crumbling 103 fl of a WTC and pray for angels to fly in & swoop you away.

Indeed, there could have been a miracle, God could have made one of the jumpers to fly -- but He did not.

I imagine, if I were in such a situation, I would hope to fly, rather than know I was melting.

As a civilian paramedic, I was called too late to a wreck on US 1 near Key Largo. I watched helplessly as a man and his little girl burned inside. it is not something ever forgotten. Over the years, I have found ways to "joke" with fellow war survivors about stuffing guts back into wounded soldiers; I cannot joke about helplessly watching someone burn.

I would jump, too.
