I am not rying to be morbid, but the thought of the terror that the trapped people must of felt just slams me. Every time I hear the Liberal News rant about the poor starving Taliban children I just think about what it must of been like to fall from one of these towers.

So today, I went looking for some photos and they made a real big impression on me. I hope that in some way it helps to galvinize your feelings about this matter. I know it has mine.

NEVER FORGET!

Actually the doors to the top of the building were locked by the port authority. Nobody had a chance to get rescued.

No galvanization necessary, nevertheless, thank you. I have shuddered to think also-particularly as my cousin was on the 92nd floor--it's personal, and personally speaking: I will NEVER FORGET. V's wife.

...i think you exercised poor judgement (as well as poor taste) by posting this. we all know how tall the wtc was, and i'm sure have all thought of what it must of been like to have been one of the unfortunate ones who decided to jump (rather than burn to death). you might post this message on du. they're the ones who need their feelings "galvanized"...

Whoa! Thanks for the pics.

For the life of me I can't understand jumping out the window. I just couldn't bring myself to give up so completely, to be so without hope or faith that I would give up and take a plunge like that. I tried to put myself mental in their situation, but I would rather die fighting to get out than to jump.

Thanks for posting these. It's a view that isn't available anymore.

Just last night I was thinking of those poor souls who leaped. I wondered if any of them had the slightest hope of surviving the fall.

It's more than obvious from these pictures that none of them had even the slightest hope. They were far too high above the city to even entertain that thought.

They jumped for only one reason. They calculated that their inevitable death would be less painful than from choking and burning.

What a sad choice.

A view towards the river

That exact photo was over my desk the 4 years I was in college, to alleviate my homesickness.

This post is in terrible taste.

YOU are Seeking inappropriate attention to what must've been a horrific final few moments for innocent AMERICANS attacked by our enemy..

Spend your time doing something meaningful, this isn't something to exploit.

I hope this thread is pulled.

thanks for posting. there are some people out there who may have never realized or are starting to forget the true horror of what happened that day. People keep talking about getting back to normal, but I think we as a country need to remain angry that this was inflicted upon us.

V, thanks for the pics. Great shots. Probably would get better exposure with a less morbid title. I too will never forget.

Thank you for posting this. I try to imagine the horror that those poor people endured - and then, in terror and desperation, jumped...to a quick death, instead of being cooked alive.

And then people prattle about the "innocent" in Afghanistan. Never forget. Never forgive!

Unfortunately, I suspect the choice was
1) A slow painful death by intense heat, fire, and smoke.Anyone on top once the fire and smoke became intense clearly knew there was no chance of survival.
Jump.

And yet, he did not show any of the morbid pictures? Hmm.....

Thanks for the post

Disregard the people who are against your posting this. No one made them open it and read it.

They obviously read it because the headline grabbed their attention and they read it out of "morbid' curiosity.

I am in NO WAY against the publishing of what has been done to us, if for no other reason than to counter the liberal "anti-war" idiots.

NEVER FORGET!

I'd rather see a post of the view of a Taliban soldier just as the B-52 bombs started impacting around him.
