I agree. However, who would work in buildings like that? Ever since the 93 bombing, I'd resolved never to enter again. And I never have.

So, that means they won. They have terrorized you to the point where you won't even go into a skyscraper. That is a d@mn shame.

There are many of us who would gladly work in the WTC, if it were to rise from the ashes. No stronger statement of defiance and declaration of our resilience than to get right back on that horse.

Yes, this WAS an ATROCITY. I'm so sick of the talking heads and their 'Tragedy of 9/11' BS. The Titanic was a tragedy, 9/11 was an ATTACK!

I see nothing in poor taste about posting these pictures, whatsoever. They serve as a tangible reminder to what once was. Taking pictures away of buildings that were bombed so no one's "feelings get hurt" is a way of white-washing and rewriting history. I wished our media would have shown pictures like these to the public. Visuals always have greater impact on people's minds. That's why Communist News Network (aka CNN) is so effective in turning the people against the bombing in Trashkanistan: all they show are the "poor children" who are suffering.

If the media would focus on the poor children and suffering Americans, there would be no question in anybody's mind that President Bush and America is justified with our retaliation. Thanks, again, for your pics.

I've been in two life threatening situations before, and one, where I was being crushed by a falling floor of a house, didn't give me anytime to be rational. Most of it is a blur, except for the intense initial pain, and I was fortunate to pass out from the pain or from hyperventalation. It happens so quickly that you react on instinct, and you do panic, trust me.All you do is hope that someone comes to rescue you.

Exactly! And I'm glad that you're here to tell us about it! :-)

I said I can't see myself choosing to do what they did. That's not the same thing as assuming I would be calm.

If you mentaly prepare to fail at something. You will fail.

Oh please. I never knew how I'd react in the middle of such a disaster, but I relied on both instinct and prayer that morning. If I had actually been *in* the towers and on a high floor, I honestly don't know how I would have reacted, but I hope I would have done the right things. Big difference between saying that and saying that I would have definitely been so brave and wonderful and all that b.s.

It's painfully obvious to me that you don't understand that faith isn't a passive belife.

Huh? Yes, I relied on faith that morning, but if that was all I went on, I could have been murdered or trapped when the towers came tumbling down. I think that God expects us to be active participants, not just lie there supine and wait for Him to rescue us.

Just where did I ever say I was better than anyone else? I only said I can't see myself reacting the same way they did.

You've been saying so repeatedly throughout this thread, and offending many people. Yes, we got your message - that you're better and morally superior to those poor souls who copped out and committed blasphemy by leaping from 100+ stories.

Incredible. You know, as many pictures as I've looked at, I still can't believe it's real. It just will NOT compute, as they say.

I know the feeling. Many mornings, I still instinctively look up and almost expect them to be back up there. I still haven't fully absorbed what happened that morning.

Could you also provide the web addy of the site

Here you go:

http://www.ilr.cornell.edu/trianglefire/

(Triangle Fire)

Any who take the time to navigate that site, will find a wealth of information on that earlier New York disaster, like this eyewitness account:

"I am not rying to be morbid, but the thought of the terror that the trapped people must of felt just slams me. Every time I hear the Liberal News rant about the poor starving Taliban children I just think about what it must of been like to fall from one of these towers."

the lib world view press would have us just get over it. rant on vannrox! "History is to the nation ... as memory is to the individual. An individual deprived of memory becomes disoriented and lost, not knowing where he has been or where he is going, so a nation denied a conception of its past will be disabled in dealing with its present and future." --Arthur M. Schlesinger

Interesting article, except for that last paragraph. Makes me ill to learn that someone would perform such sicko "experiments." Ugh.
