I hope everyone just got a chance to see President Bush just now at the World Series. The whole crowd was chanting "USA" and giving him a standing ovation. He threw a perfect strike, and he was absolutely magical.

The "hiding" of Cheney is not because they are afraid. It is SOP for the president and VP...you have a slight problem with our leadership do you??

Darn it! I've waited all day to see our President throw out the first ball - and my cable went out - they are still trying to fix it. Oh well, I'll have to see it on a re-run later.
Glad they gave him a standing ovation - he deserves it!

No one has mentioned the crowds reaction when the jets buzzed over. Fantastic.

It was wonderful. I could watch it over and over.

Usually when a president throws the first pitch, he'll stand in front of the mound and still get it in the dirt. I remember Bush's father throwing one in the dirt back at a game back around 1988. Don't forget that the president is encumbered with a bulletproof vest in this situation, which inhibits movement. Yet despite that, GWB walked up to the rubber and still managed to get it all the way over the plate. Impressive.

Imagine the crowd reaction if Hillary had gone out on the field. Oh may I! Ahhh! Ahhhh! What a pleasant thought!
Thanks man. How's that song go?
When the bee stings, when the dog bites
I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad!

He looked good in that FDNY sweatshirt.

Wasn't that awesome?! I was so proud to be an American. When the man sang the national anthem, it absolutely brought tears to my eyes. The people started going crazy when he sang "
....the land of the free - and the home of the brave...".
When the president walked out - he looked so confident and relaxed. He did a great job.
I loved seeing the sign they showed that was hanging in the stands....it said something like:
The USA fears NOBODY ... PLAY BALL
God Bless America!

Good for him. I've been home sick today and did a lot of channel surfing. Some of the microwave media couldn't think of anything else to bad mouth him about so they kept reporting that they hoped he was practicing because he probably couldn't get the ball to the plate.

"DING, DONG, the WITCH is DEAD!"

It was just beautiful. Very good pitch. He looks totally cool. Frightened the dog jumping up and down and yelling. Ok, I feel better now.

Cheney is where he needs to be. Line of succession. Cheney's Number 1 priority, ensuring the line of succession, not PR crap.Exactly. Only one man vulnerable at a time, thank you very much!
To: Elihu Burritt
Maybe now he will see the error of his thinking in trying to hide Cheney deeper than Bin Ladeni don't agree with you. bin laden's greatest thrill would be if he could take out the leadership of this country, all in one fell swoop. being cautious is not foolish.
besides, this latest threat is the heebie-jeebies.
