Crowd Goes Nuts Over President Bush At Yankee Stadium
Fox ^

Posted on 10/30/2001 4:27:15 PM PST by hawaiian

I hope everyone just got a chance to see President Bush just now at the World Series. The whole crowd was chanting "USA" and giving him a standing ovation. He threw a perfect strike, and he was absolutely magical.

There was a live Eagle that flew over the field to his trainer.

There is no error of his ways of having Chaney in a secure place while the Preisident is in a very public place like Yankee Stadium. Makes perfect sense to me. Geez!

I am a sucker for flyovers. There is nothing more apectacular than watching a flyover. Power. Security. Might.

I live in the shadow of NAS Oceana...and get to see hundreds a week. I never get tired of it and I've never minded the noise...that's the wonderful sound of freedom. Even at 2:00 am.

Don't forget that he is in the best physical shape of any modern day president. Tonight was evidence of that.

You need to read it like a sentence.

"Oh say, can you see, by the dawn's early light what so proudly we hailed, at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous night, o'er the ramparts we hailed, were so gallantly gleaming?

It is a question...can you see that which we hailed, streaming over the ramparts?

I am not even a regular Hitlery basher but I couldn't resist. If Algor was there, he would have skipped out to and back from the pitcher's mound. He reminds me of Stewart on Mad tv who is one of my favorite characters.

I hope Hillary throws out the first pitch tomorrow.

I hope they throw Hillary out tomorrow.

That would be a bigger laugh...

That second "gleaming" should read "streaming."

Oh, my God. Rosie will probably auction her seat on e-bay for charity. Perish the thought!

You're the first person who's ever asked me that. Because the biblical account of Esther putting her life on the line to save her people is incredibly inspiring to me. I only wish that I could do as much for the USA--my beloved country. After first giving me life, God's second gift to me was allowing me to be born here instead of anywhere else.

I live in the shadow of NAS Oceana

The base website said 'NSF' today (no scheduled flights), so I'm not sure if they
were from '3 2', but the Yankee announcers mentioned the squadron before the game.

Hillary must feel like Haman in the Book of Esther in the Bible

She deserves to end up like Haman.

If Al Gore were president, you'd see a circle of secret servicemen moving out to the pictures mound.
A ball would pop out of the center and roll about 2 feet.
The circle of secret servicemen would then move back to a secure area.
The crowd would look and wonder :"what was that?", but the game would still go on.

BALD EAGLE BITES CLINTON
The London Telegraph - July 3, 1999

A BALD eagle, the emblem of the United States, bit President Clinton at a ceremony on the White House lawn yesterday. Mr. Clinton's staff had arranged for the eagle, Challenger, to be present when he announced that the species was being taken off the endangered list after a 27-year conservation project. The President described the eagle as the "living symbol of our democracy" and then moved over to talk to the bird's handler, Al Cesari. Mr. Clinton looked distinctly uneasy as he stood just out of pecking distance of the bird, whose image appears on the great seal of the United States, on the dollar bill and a host of other national symbols. As the President turned to congratulate volunteers from the eagle-salvation programme who were standing behind Challenger's perch, the 10-year-old bird bent forward and pecked him hard on the left hand. Mr. Clinton withdrew his hand quickly, shook it and inspected the damage, as an embarrassed Mr. Cesari moved in. A spokesman for the White House said later: "The President was bitten, but no blood was drawn. He told aides as he left the ceremony that he was sure that bird was not the only creature in Washington who would like to have a go at him ."

Looks like Clinton should keep the Bald Eagle and Democracy in America on the endangered species list a little longer.

I know Jennings is the pits. It's rare I turn his show on and I caught the last 10 minutes and he closed with his snide remarks practically suggesting fans boo President Bush. The only reason I turned his show on at all is because Brit Hume mentioned that ABC had yet to discuss the Christians killed in Pakistan and I thought I'd check ole Peter out. Sorry I did because it took a while to simmmer down.
