Am I the only one who heard Sean Hannity, at about 5:40PM EST, stop while on the air and say: "So that's what Ashcroft's warning is. It's a dirty bomb."

Do not take PI without being advised to do so. What possible adverse effects of PI are you warning against?

"...would wipe out Millions and (from what everyone says) Ruin a large portion of the US agriculture with it"
Not necessarily - conventional explosion - how big do you think it can be - only then windborne -
not necessarily as bad as even a small nuke - depending on what the casing is

"I knew it by 11AM on September 11th. This thing is going to get huge. Let's just hope we move big when we have to and end it fast, before too many of us are hurt." I knew it too. I fear our leaders do not.
I fear it is much too late.

All non-citizens for the Middle East should be deported. Now. AMEN, However, I'm not sure our government knows how to find all the non-citizens.They have no database.

When my husband dealt with nuclear weapons in the Air Force, this "definition" was taught to him as well.

"They go after say a major water way like the Colorado River or the Mighty Mississippi." I've worried about the Mississippi River for a while now. If all the ports up and down the river are considered, it's the second busiest port in the world.

One of the reports coming out as well, is that Bin Laden has already given authorization for the cells to act in Europe and the US with whatever they have planned. Typically, they had to wait at the last moment, with a coded "Go" order before acting. Our intelligence sources say that they are free to act anytime they see fit, so we better hold onto our hats, it may be a bumpy ride.

"Radioactive contamination is the intent, not to blow down buildings and such. Potassium iodide is an antidote for radiation poisoning. (I have learned most of this from fellow FReepers)"
Sorry, not true. Potassium iodide is ONLY a preventive if the "dirty isotope" is radioactive iodine, and then it only protects the thyroid gland. Any other isotope, taking potassium iodide is useless.

I do believe that there is some confusion over the terms."Unlike anthrax we can definitely say these kind of bombs are "weaponized."

I don't know. Just about everything I have mentioned on this thread I learned on other threads from other FReepers.

They would aim for cities that are well known around the world in order to demonstrate their power.
One set of possibilities could include the Olympic citiies in America: Los Angeles, Atlanta, ...Salt Lake City.
Some other well-known cities in the Arab/Muslim world are tied to petrochemical biz -- Houston and Dallas.
There is also fairly wide knowledge of Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco.
If something went wrong, they could detonate such a weapon anywhere simply to accomplish something rather than being apprehended.

"I guarantee that the people who do this will not be U.S. citizens."Wrong, Rodney. This will be another plot courtesy of the VRWC just like the anthrax. If you don't believe me just wait for the reports from the Washington Post!

I literally have the Pacific Ocean at my back door. Oregon Central Coast perfect!

I've worried about the Mississippi River for a while now. The port of LA is considered a very serious target. Seattle San Diego and Oakland could take up some of the slack, as well as Vancouver if we shipped some stuff down from Canada as a stop gap, but they could not take up all the slack combined in extra capacity that would result from a shut down of the Port of LA. Basically, think of everything you buy in this country from Asia, or we export there, most of it goes through the LA Harbor.

They've essentially been instructed to 'do your own thing.'
