THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) - Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic told the U.N. tribunal Tuesday that Osama bin Laden was in Albania last year.
Milosevic again flared up in court at a hearing to schedule his trials for war crimes in Kosovo and Croatia. The Kosovo trial was tentatively set for Feb. 12, but could be delayed by months if combined with other cases against him.
Milosevic dismissed the indictments as documents written at the level of ``a retarded 7-year-old child.''
He said the U.S. government had turned to him for help in tracking down bin Laden, who was believed to be behind the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
``The previous American administration knew that bin Laden was in Albania two years after he blew up their embassies and they discussed these facts with me and my associates,'' Milosevic told the judges at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
Albanian authorities have repeatedly denied foreign media reports that Osama bin Laden had visited in recent years. On Sept. 21, Joseph Limprecht, U.S. ambassador to Albania, said the U.S. government had no such reports and he commended Albania for expelling Islamic extremists.
Milosevic was in court for nine hours Monday, his third appearance since he was extradited from Belgrade on June 28. As before, he refused to cooperate, rebuffed the court's request to plead to his indictments, and argued angrily with the presiding judge, Richard May.
On Tuesday, Milosevic voiced impatience with the lengthy hearing of the day before.
``Don't bother me and make me listen for hours on end to the reading of texts written at the intellectual level of a 7-year-old child - rather, I correct myself - a retarded 7-year-old child,'' he said.
May interrupted Milosevic, telling him to restrict his comments to any complaints he had about his detention.
``Is that all I have the right to say?'' Milosevic retorted.

No wonder mr. Bill wants him out of the way. The noose tightens. Betting window open for how long Milosevic makes it.

I feel bad for the guy.
He's getting shafted in that courtroom.
Maybe he is another 'Evil One' but he isn't as bad as some we're talking about lately.

Milosevic was trying to protect his country from Islamic Fundamentalists. The media has demonized him out of all recognition. The real question is why slick chose to back terrorists against our allies.

Let see if he gets bagged for Rwanda and Vietnam, as well as dogs fouling the streets of Belgium.

The deal was made with the enemy.....Mad Maddie purposely wrote the agreement knowing it could never be signed. It was cover for the bombing to begin. It is to America's everlasting shame that we elected such an evil evil person.

Wonder why it is, that what has been going on for years has suddenly caught our attention so painfully that we sit here and say...I knew that. I just didn't think it was possible. We Tinfoil hatters have been trying to get someone to really pay attention for years. Now here it is, right out in the open, and you STILL can't believe that Clinton is THAT evil. He is. She is. I guarantee it.
Who in all of hell would send bill clinton a VIAL of salmonella? Does it even pass the grin test, let alone the smell test?
It has always been about drugs, monopolies, and money. Loral has a monopoly around the world. Clinton's Southern Mafia gets the best drugs and freaky women, his Euro friends get stockmarket money to burn, and hitlery doesn't have to shave her legs. Well, duh!

Even the pro-Islamic Western press had to admit that Albania, Bosnia, and Kosovo all had KNOWN Mujahedeen terrorists fighting on their side against the Serbs.
It is a crying shame that Clinton and Albright forced this great nation to go to war against the Serbs.
The Serbs were right. The Russians were right. Radical Islam is the enemy of civilization.

Milosevic tried for ridding his country of a few thousand Islamic terrorists, but Omar Bassir kills 2,000,000 black Christians in the Sudan and he gets a pass. How typical of the terrorist sympathizers.
I hate the UN. This international war tribunal is a crock of s***. Sharon will be brought up on charges next--wait and see.

Milosevic probably knows many things that are....inconvenient. Not that I care personally, but, I suspect his safety is in question. His was a fight amongst murderers, although I now see we backed the wrong murderers in that fight.

This dude Slobo is a dangerous man. He says uncomfortable things, some or all of which may be true. Fortunately "we" have successfully demonized him and completely destroyed his credibility so that statements such as these will be disregarded, or dismissed as rantings of a maniac. Does anyone think that the current administration in Washington will allow some Slavic slob Slobo, who's presently in chains, libel and smear a respectable former President? Duh! We'll choose sides and the side we'll choose will be on maintaining the propriety and pretense that everything is, has always been, normal as it should have been. The Bush Administration doesn't want to re-visit some old policy matters and face embarassment for anything in the past. And that's too bad...

"WE" didn't back the wrong side --- Clinton did, and our Congress FAILED once again to reign in the criminal's power. Our "free press" failed to report the truth. The American public was lied to and easily deceived in general. Those of us who claimed our unprovoked involvement in Kosovo was illegal use of brute power were thought of as cowards and traitors, when we are more patriotic as Americans than any corrupt Clintonista could ever be.
Milosevic had a nasty rebellion on his hands with international terrorists and heroin dealers attacking his countrymen and territory. Clinton empowered the Islamic terrorists, and now we pay the price for his folly done in our name.
May God forgive us for our complacent ignorance and bless us as we set out on the right course to destroy terrorism.

No, we can't count on being spoonfed the truth. We must demand it and discover it and report it ourselves - that's why we are the free press.

I just read part of the page you linked to, M2, and I have to disagree with at least the first part. It might seem contrarian, but it wasn't about oil or a nuclear strike. It was about the untapped minerals and metals under the Albanian land. It is rich in resources which is why Russia pulled that endaround NATO to get in there before the Europeans did. They had to get rid of Milosevic because he was strong and would have beaten the Albanians in a fight. When the deal involves only devils, only hell can come of it.

Ask Morton Abramowitz and his PR firm for terrorist clients, a.k.a. Human Rights Watch. They should be able to exppain why they support and condone terrorism, even after 911. One only need read a couple of sentences from their latest Kosovo report.
