Prayer request - my mother
me

I am a newbie with a prayer request. On the mind-numbing day of September 11, my mother (age 64) underwent what was to be routine gall bladder surgery. Instead they found advanced cancer.
She is already down to her last few weeks of life. (Making it to Thanksgiving would be miraculous.)
The prayer we request for her is for physical comfort. She is very much at peace, knowing that her eternal reward is waiting for her. She has long said she has no fear of death but she does fear dying because she has never done it before.
Thanks in advance.

Oh well, Im tired and so weary
But I must go alone
Till the lord comes and calls, calls me away, oh yes
Well the morning's so bright
And the lamp is alight
And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes
There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me
Well the bear will be gentle
And the wolves will be tame
And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes
And the beasts from the wild
Shall be lit by a child
And I'll be changed,
changed from this creature that I am, oh yes
There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me

prayers on the way
To: wendelmyer; falfa
Welcome, falfa. I'm so glad you brought your concern for your mother to share with us so that we could offer up prayers.
I can't even imagine the shock that you all must have experienced. But God is Ever-Faithful, and He is our Comforter. May you both see His presence, and feel His peace.

Heavenly Father, I pray for falfa and her mom that You will comfort them and give them strength. You never leave us and we are so thankful for that, especially in this time of need. Give falfa's mother a courage beyond anything she could ask or think to be a witness to those around her and surround her with Your love, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Thank you so much for your prayers. We too believe in a healing God. From the beginning we have prayed that God would either heal her or release her quickly from her diseased body so she can move on to a better one.
We believe those prayers are being honored in the rapid progress of the illness.

Thank you for your support and encouragement. STD I will be praying for your mother also.
Hospice has been wonderful in every respect. I also have a very close friend who is an anesthesiologist who is coordinating with them on her her pain relief.
The Hospice chaplain has finally given up. She has so many people giving her spiritual and emotional support that he hasn't been able to work into her schedule. :)

Thank you for your support. My mother is an incredible woman. She is spending her last days comforting and caring for those she loves the most. Her faith is strong and her greatest goal is to glorify God as she exits this life.
