Mr. Christiane Amanpour (James Rubin) Haunting Bush State Dept.
Bill Clinton isn't the only member of the last administration who doesn't seem to want to go away.
Bush appointees at the State Department are complaining privately that the agency's old Clinton flack still seems to enjoy unprecedented access.
"There's lots of squawking," says U.S, News & World Report's "Washington Whispers," "that former Clinton diplomatic spokesman James Rubin is still treated royally."
"Whispers" reports that "Rubin keeps in touch with his old pals, even calling the switchboard to get patched through to U.S. posts."
Meanwhile, his more famous spouse, CNN Mideast correspondent Christiane Amanpour, fixates on civilian casualties caused by U.S. bombs in Afghanistan.
The couple married in 1998. Read more on this subject in related Hot Topics:

George Bush and his team have to "sanitize" this administration from top to bottom. They are being sabotaged on the military and diplomatic front by literally thousands of Clinton appointees from the high to the low.
Purge the traitor's appointees now! The Military, State Department, DOJ: purge'em. Start with the head of FEMA, he is the incompetent who blackmailed hiw way into the job by helping the Clinton gang suicide/silence Arkansas opposition.

AS IF THESE APPOINTEES ALL WERE ANTHRAX OR SMALLPOX!

Welcome to FR. There are many yet that need to go. I fear the war effort may have slowed the already behind-the-eight-ball progress. Too bad Gore/DEMS held up the transition process - putting this administration 60 days off schedule to begin with.

The head of FEMA is Joe Albaugh one of the key people in getting him elected along with Karl Rove. He took over FEMA almost right away and is from Tulsa, OK.

Made bad mistake, the blackmailing bastard at FEMA was replaced right away. Sorry.
To: Kenny Bunk
Bush's most serious tactical mistake was not purging the Clintonoids.
PURGE THE CLINTONOIDS

You don't know what you're talking about either. I'm sure -- if you ARE new here -- you don't realize we can see ALL your posts.
You're a disruptor. I'll advise you just as I do all the new people who show up here to "tell us what is going on."
DO NOT SHOW UP AT A GUNFIGHT WITH A KNIFE.
WE KNOW THE FACTS HERE AND WILL SMACK YOU DOWN IN A HEARTBEAT.
WE DO NOT TAKE KINDLY TO PEOPLE WITH BAD INFORMATION.

Bad information is all you seem to have.
That and intolerance and hatred for anyone who isn't a "Christian".
You need to take the suffix "free" off of the site name.

Agreed!!!!!!! It's time to clean house.
Unfortunately, two things are standing in Dubya's way:
1) Distractions from 9/11 and the ongoing conflict and......
2) Obstruction of the Democrats towards Dubya's appointments . For example, my pet project:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/fr/557384/posts
.......wherein (scumbaggie) Leahy and (el diablo) Das-hole are blocking judicial nominees.
This footdragging with respect to the "changing-of-the-guard" is GOVERNMENT-WIDE! In essence, we have a Republican President (Dubya) trying to govern, but with a government (and it's policies) still in the hands of Clinton-era Democrats.
Thanks for the reinforcing Post about the similar situation for the State Dept.
To: Kenny Bunk
Despite your mistake this was a good post. Thanks.
The Democrats, spearheaded by Hillary, Schumer, and Daschle, are purposely stalling the nomination process so that their friends can remain in place. Those who are not political appointees, and there are thousands of political appointees, are protected by Civil Service regulations, basically meaning they can't be fired. Perhaps we should create a new department and call it the Timeout Department, where each administration parks the others moles while replacing them with their own. Also keep in mind that the Fedearl Employees Union supports Democrats heavily and they send out weekly/monthly newsletters with their propaganda. This is not as easy as snapping your fingers.
