We had a pretty good turnout of Heart of Texas FReepers to counter the Austin, Texas false-peacenik crowd. There were probably up to 20 or so FReepers and associates standing at the corner of 9th and San Jacinto providing a barrage of chants as the several hundred weak(well, a few of them smelled kind of strong) peaceniks passed by to their chosen spot in front of the Federal building.

The camera crews and reporters took notice of us and took lots of footage and interviews. I remember seeing KXAN TV 36 and there were some others as well. We played patriotic music and had numerous chants. We had lots of signs supporting our country, troops, President, and the effort to diminsh the terrorist threat. We had lots of American flags and a couple others(Don't tread on me). We even had a pamphlet to handout to the press and some others.

There were very few law enforcement officers on hand so there were a few verbal confrontations. Some of the socialists decided to park themselves right in the middle of our group to try to disrupt us. The was even a young punk on his bicycle profanely insulting our country between our chants or U.S.A U.S.A. We received numerous honks of support from the passing traffic and had a good time standing up for our great country.

My son Drew(of course) had a great time chanting and waving the flag. He was well overdue for a nap, so we had to leave before the traitor's pow-wow ended. We heard them renouncing the Pledge of Allegiance's inclusion of "Under God" as we passed by on the way to the car. I'll let some of the others fill in some details.

The kid on the bike was actually a guy with long hair and a foul mouth. He was on the edge of provoking one of us. The law enforcement officers that were nearby said they didn't have the jurisdiction for the area we were in. I guess they we with the Federal building. There was also a couple ofelderly flower children by us, but they seemed to be quiet for the most part.

I was interviewed by an independent filmmaker from LA who is doing a film about the events of 9-11. He's been to ground zero, the Pentagon, PA where UA 93 went down, and is Austin for a screening of a film of his tomorrow at the Alamo drafthouse north at 3:00pm. (He was inviting everyone. It is based on a play that was shown in New York and is not for the faint-hearted - it contains adult language and is not political.) He did interviews of the leftists and me for his film. No title or date of release yet.

Double-doo-doo Yuck! The KEYE report was completely biased in favor of the peaceniks! The reporterette was marching with them for God's sake! They showed a teeney-weeney out-of-context remark of mine. "We can't roll over, show our bellies and declare peace on them when they want to kill us". Makes sense to me.

Thanks for the bump and the great report. Sounds like you freepers did a great job but it is my sons 8th birthday tomarrow and celebrated it today so couldn't make it. His name is andrew and is called DREW at school, GUIDO in football, basketball and baseball and BROTHER by his brother. Everytime you flag or post I think of my LITTLE ONE.

Back to the subject, those freeps with those leftist can get bad, they are cruel and inhuman. In fact they also can be described as the EVIL ONE. Great job and heroes you are because anytime you face these losers you are heroes.

If you compare their numbers to ours, we kicked butt on that report!!

They never showed the whole crowd in front of the building, just the front and sides of the parade.
There were alot of them shipped in from across Texas, and they didn't even try to hide that fact.

My son actually still goes by Andrew so whenever someone at the rally said "Hi DrewsDad", he would say "No, it's Andrew's Daddy".

I agree you gotta be careful with a crowd like that. They didn't get near my son. I was surprised at the lack of law enforcement there. The Capitol folks do such a great job, I guess we're spoiled.

austingirl: You have a HONK FOR OUR TROOPS sign and I guarantee that reporter will be reporting that the "Rally for America" crowd had the support of the public. Those honking horns from passing cars will be enough to cause your ears to go numb and those damn traitors just fade away. We proved that in Sacramento with our freep! Try it! It energizes the public and the freepers. Guaranteed!!!
