I just got home from the Sacramento FReep of the peaceniks. We were on a busy street corner across from the Arden Mall. Notaliberal and I set up on a corner across the street from the peaceniks.
It wasn't long before some of them came across the street to "dialog" with us. We told them to get back across the street and leave us alone.
We were outnumbered but not in spirit. Notaliberal's sign "Honk for our Troops" got a lot of honks--even from police, firemen, and EMTs.
Luvyadubya and Tax showed up with sound. We turned up the patriotic music. Eric and his three little girls, Budweiser, and atbay got there and we cranked it up a little higher.
The peaceniks couldn't take it so the came across the street to our side and stood down the street from us. Atbay and his sign and balloons went across the street to visit the peaceniks.
By 2p.m. we were really tired and the peaceniks had left so we got ready and the people driving by were still honking. It was a very successful FReep.

Way to go! It's always tempting to engage the peaceniks and rearrange their anatomy in such a way as to allow them to "dialogue" with their own colons. But since they do such a great job of that all by themselves, you handled yourselves admirably. It must be discouraging for them to know that most of the passersby support America. It has to feel to the Left like the sun feels to a vampire.

The only anatomy that needs rearranging is to pull their heads out of their butts.

The kids and I had fun. My oldest daughter asked on the way home "if those hippies don't like America, why don't they live in Berkeley?". I darn near crashed the truck from laughing.

It was a great Freep! It was nice to meet all of you today and renew old friendships. We had a great time and the support from those passing by was awesome. If we could just spread the word a little further I know we would have many hundreds more on our side! The peace-nics tried to take over our territory but NOTALIBERAL put a stop to that!!! Great job! Pics should be coming soon there were several in our crowd taking them.

How old is your oldest? When you hear stuff like that from your kids, isn't that just about the greatest thing on earth?

< proud papa >She is 11 years old, and an honor roller as well. She has surprised me alot lately with her grasp on things that causes most adults to glaze over in ignorance.

She has surprised me alot lately with her grasp on things that causes most adults to glaze over in ignorance. Yeah, especially considering how for the past 6 years she's been in the clutches of the State via the education system. You have every right to be a proud papa! (you must be doing something right!)
