Yankees in 5 sounds about right. But remember, it's Schilling who has been almost unbeatable in the post-season. If the Big Unit is truly done with that wretched 7-game losing streak, those two could give the Yankees more than they would care to see, but ther's very little that will shake the Yankees confidence....or should.
I'll be rooting for the Yankees. I'm bigger than those who can't get over their life-long Yankee hatred. I outgrew it. Some Yankee fans can get under my skin, but this is a good and deserving team. But if the Diamondbacks happen to win, I'll be happy for RJ.
Now, tell me to go to bed. It's 1:30 in the morning.

Looks line the C-H-E-E-S-Y thread petered out at around 84 posts. It all went horribly wrong when somebody took it down the moose trail....

Why does the word 'inflict' enter my mind? Actually, it might be her way of reacting, yes.

illstillbe...I read with interest yesterday your story about the hardships on the Oregon Trail. I was reminded of this story about my great-great grandfather and a very generous man.
J.W. and family moved to Tyler County Texas from Alabama in an ox-wagon. Travel then was not only slow and uncomfortable but also dangerous. During their journey to Texas a freakish Norther blew in making it extremely cold for that time of the year. They were freezing in the wagon when they came to a little supply store beside the road. A man in the store told them he lived just a short distance on down the road and there they would find a split rail fence. He offered them the split rail fence as wood to build a fire to keep warm...which they did.
I though it was a nice story. There is so much bad going on, I thought this story would be a nice diverson.
A hearty howdy to everyone!

Thanks for the information on the LinkSys EtherFast Cable /DSL Router. I think I'm going to give that a try. I haven't had luck with a proxy server (don't ask). This just might solve my problem of getting multiple computers at home on the Internet...

And a Texas "hello" to you, too, Kanell. Did you ever see that movie? LOL!
SY and Jemian - a bit of brain drain on my part earlier: **Prayers** for you, too, far away from home....

Hey ISB: To answer your previous question, I think it prudent to e-mail your suggestions to the Pentagon, given the current realities!
Also, since you're after bringin' up words that don't make perfect sense, how 'bout some words that are perfect for the occasion?
Like: caterwauling, lickspittle, ditchcarp....

Good morning All!
What a morning to leave my camera home. (excuse me but I will post a mental picture here). As I arrived at work today at sunrise, the mountains and clouds were luminous with color as can only happen here in Alaska with a low sun angle. Lo and behold, sitting on the streetlight next to the station parking lot was a bald eagle with the flag in the foreground.

Heck! No Rumsfeld, just that Naby guy.
Now we have the Supreme Court mail facility contaminated with anthrax.
President Bush is supposed to speak from the East Room in a few minutes.
I am for moving the White House to Crawford.
To: Miss Marple
Speaking to agricultural, busiiness and trade leaders. Present are Cheney, O'Neill, and Abraham.
To: Miss Marple
We are at the beginning of what I view as a very long struggle against evil. We will fight this war on every front. We must and will prevail. (Applause.) Fighting on a variety of fronts.
To: Miss Marple
Praises Powell who is working tirrelessly. O'Neill thanked for fighting the financial front. Talks about intelligence services cooperating.
Culture in agencies have changed. Arrest those interested in attacking America and arresting them before they do.
To: Miss Marple
Great confidence in the military and in our strategy. Restating the Bush doctrine. Taliban are paying the proice. We are slowly dismantling al Quaeda and the Taliban. American people are going to have to be patient and determined. With patience and determination, we will smoke them out of their holes and put an end to this.
Two-pronged war. One front abroad and one here at home. We are being struck again...anthrax in a letter is terror. OBL has a low regard for human life. Anthrax people share that evil.
To: Miss Marple
Discussing how hard the FBI and other law officers are working. Talking about postal workers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Discussing anti-terror legislation.
The best way to win on the home front is to go abroad and get them.
Anotoher front in the homeland is our economy. The more it is disruptd the larger blow to our confidence.
To: Miss Marple
Many thanks from the TV deprived for the updates.
To: Miss Marple
Our economy took a huge blow 9/11. Stock market, hotels, transportation system. Concern for those who have lost jobs. Will work with Congress to take action. Some in this room have chosen to delay layoffs and I applaud you for that. Our government must act wisely as well. Our job is to help restore confidence. Buildings can be rebuilt and they will be. The vitality of our economy depends on the willingness of Americans to spend and to invest.
Money and loans to aviation. Beefing up security and working to get a long-term law passed for airline security. Supplemental to rebuild NYC and Pentagon. Helping small business in areas impacted. Beginning to secure post offices. They are usiing the mail as a weapon.
All this costs money. Money spent will have positive effect, but we must be careful not to overspend. Caution on how we spend taxpayers money. TAX RELIEF!!!
If it is passed it will happen in quick fashion. No contracts to be let...it will go into effect as soon as it is signed AS SOON AS WE CAN GET IT OUT OF THE SENATE. Tax relief for low income pepople will happen AS SOON AS WE GET IT OUT OF THE SENATE.
