Freeper Sues Planned Parenthood
Freeper | October 23, 2001 | Saundra Duffy

October is breast cancer awareness month. Did you know there's a LINK between abortion and breast cancer? The abortion industry doesn't want this information to be known. God forbid if women had all the facts; it would cut into their big fat PROFITS! Three of us California women are suing Planned Parenthood - not for money but for the truth. All we're asking is that Planned Parenthood tell women about this link. Evidence shows that women who have abortions, especially in their younger years, have a greater risk of developing breast cancer later in life. Thirteen out of fifteen U.S. studies show an increased risk of developing breast cancer in women who have had abortions.

It is good to urge them to tell the truth. May what you're going through be of (ever)lasting benefit.

I think it's a mistake not to sue for as much money as you can get. Please reconsider.

This is no time to act virtuous! Get an attorney who understands these things and go for the knockout punch. Being sweet and nice in legal matters gets you nothing, least of all their respect.

Well, we are acting under advice of legal folks from Thomas More Center for Law & Justice. California is a "consumer friendly" state so that's why they chose California to start the ball rolling (plus California has the most egregious pro abortion policies). This is going to be interesting. For victory & freedom!!!

Uh, I don't see PP "hiding" the information. They have their own spin on it of course, but data suporting the link, including Dr. Brind's study are included. Again, they have their own spin and do question the validaity of Dr. Brind's study, but they are not "hiding" it. The data are available for anyone who may question their spin to interpret for themselves or to seek out more detail from the various studies cited, including Brind's.

The science is not a slam dunk for either side of the debate.

I've seen a lot of people say "sue them for dollars!" Well what dollar figure can you put on this? They are sueing to get some of their 'facts' (I'm not sure if they are, but they sure make it out to be) published.
Is this the right way to attack anything? If you don't like what the newspaper prints, sue it? Sounds more like a trial lawyer's plan to me.

Personally, I'd take a slightly different tack.

I'd open up a class action lawsuit and find women who are suffering from breast cancer and had abortions. Pile on. Go for DOUGH. As was pointed out above..........the best way to shut these butchers down is to bleed 'em dry of their cash..........while simultaneously making them no longer "politically correct"; unworthy of donations even by the Hollywood elite. Ostracize them, marginalize them, show them for what and who they really are.

The above would certainly take longer, but would be FAR more effective than three plaintiffs, IMHO. God bless.

The Supreme Court Roe v. Wade ruling took place in 1973. And now we're having an epidemic of breast cancer. I have a friend who died of breast cancer. Later I learned that she had had an abortion a long time ago. She died never knowing about the link. When the truth about this gets out, women are going to be LIVID! How dare the abortion industry LIE TO WOMEN ABOUT THIS!!! For victory & freedom!!!

I'm for good science, not science as a political tool by anyone. IMHO, The science here is not conclusive to support either there is a link or there is not a link --- again, just IMHO. Now, others may choose to interpret the data differently then I do and draw different conclusions, that's fine, and the data and study sources to bloster support for either conclusion are available. There is no "hiding" of the data, only different spin on the same data. And I trust people to be able differentiate the spin and to form their own opinion. That's all I'm saying.

What you are doing is almost exactly equivalent both in methodology and tactics to what global warming advocates are doing with the greenhouse effect and CO2 (of course, in their case their end goal is nothing to be praised for).

What this suit does is NOT equivalent to the enviro-wackos. They are trying to tie what is a naturally occuring cycle of warming to activities of humans. This cannot be proven, as there is no evidence, indeed there is contrary evidence to their claims.

In the case of the breast cancer/abortion link, it has been shown in several studies that there IS a direct link when there is INDUCED abortion. If it were just that when the pregnancy is ended there could be a risk, then that risk should appear when women have miscarriages before a first live birth, and this does not seem to be the case. That is because the body has been 'preparing' hormonally for the miscarriage so that there is not an abrupt and un-natural change in the hormone levels as there is with an induced abortion.

Right on, rightontheline! I have said all along they need a class action suit and sue for big money - like those women who had breast implants and were severely injured. But wait until our suit is successful - more ammo - then sue the crap out of Planned Parenthood and a bunch of other doctors and such for lying about this! Right on! For victory & freedom!!!

I think there needs to be a support group started as well - to identify and assist those women who had abortions and are now facing breast cancer. Imagine the heartache! Imagine the pain! Just imagine the outrage they must feel, too, after finding out that the link was kept a deep, dark secret. For victory & freedom!!!
