Some dismiss it as being akin to Elvis sightings, but a few top Defense officials think Oklahoma City bomber Tim McVeigh was an Iraqi agent. The theory stems from a never-before-reported allegation that McVeigh had allegedly collected Iraqi telephone numbers. Why haven't we heard this before about the case of the executed McVeigh? Conspiracy theorists in the Pentagon think it's part of a coverup.

Some Repub Senators and Congressmen were compromised by the fact they were told in advance in late Feb early March 1995 of a ME attack on a Federal Building in the Heartland ( Murrah building was one of the targets)in an official warning document from the director of the House Task Force on Terrorism and Uncoventional Warfare, Yousef Bodansky. The Task Force was chaired by Republican COngressman James Saxton of New Jersey who also was provided hard evidence of the ME connection to OKC by KFORTV. Saxton did nothing constructive enough with the info except cover it up.
My own Repub Senator, James Inhofe was apprised of this by me in January 1999 and his staff was apprised of it in 1996 by the former Pentagon terror advisor Jesse Clear. Inhofe did nothing constructive about it except cover it up! Inhofe sits on the Armed Services and the Intelligence Committes of the Senate.!
Clear also told the Senate Judiciary legal counsel(Kolan Davis who workes for Senator Grassley) and the Senate Intell Legal Counsel (Joan Grimson) of the ME connection to the OKC bombing and the FBI coverup of the connection. I was privy to these briefings.
Prominent Repubs and Democrats in COngress have known about the OKC ME connection for years and have covered it up.

Clinton did not want to have to deal with the terrorist connection. He had enough trouble on his plate. When TWA 800 blew up the first thing he is reported my Stephanopolis as having said,,"God I hope this is not another terrorist situation" as they dealt with it in the WhiteHouse situation room.
He was not anxious to get involved due to the magnitude of the terrorists threats, of which he was well aware. He played footsie with Arafat, took money from Arab countries as DNC donations.

Got it. Was replying to reblebase comment, hadn't gotten to yours yet.
"Bush Senior initiated (it was his plan) bringing the Iraqis here after the Gulf War. But Clinton gave the finally approval when the original Bush decision was held up by protests from some US Senators and POW/MIA organizations and family members. I have an original story on this from the Salt Lake Tribune in May 1995 that I passed on the KFORTV during their investigation of the Irqai, Hussaini and his membership in the Iraqi Republican Guard and his being brought to OKC."

Remember we talked that McVeigh's behavior after his arrest was not consistent with a government sting operation gone awry? Well, it is consistent with this. He had a family to protect. Feeling his guilt he didn't mind dying, and fingering his Iragi handlers would have jeopardized Jennifer.

I am realizing, I think, that we have been under terrorist attack for some 8 years now. And they have made some big scores:
WTC (1st time), OKC, TWA-800, possibly Egyptair....
and now, under a real administration with real leadership, it has happened again. Methinks dubya is going to pronounce the truth to the American people....and then get on with the business of WW111.

Wolfowitz is Deputy Secretary of Defense, not Assistant Secretary. This sort of thing makes me wonder about the other details...like, how can a journalist who was careful about citing his source, tell some guy on the telephone who the source was?

I remember that when it happened, a middleastern man was first mentioned as a possible suspect, then it seemed it was dropped in a couple of hours......

There could be another reason why Bubba and Congress did nothing. Remeber that remark by Daschle on MTP a while ago, about the blackmailability of Congress critters. Well, maybe Sad-damn (love 41's pronunciation) got smart and figured out if you can't beat'em, blackmail'em. Could also explain why Janet Ashcroft is blowing off David Schippers.

And, if this is actually true; I guess it puts a damper on all of the apologists for Arab terrorism who always point to McVeigh as proof that not all terrorists are Arab. Not to mention put a real crimp in the SPLC's income for the fiscal year.

And John Doe #2 is????

>>...What purpose would the Clinton Justice Dept have in not making this connection back then.....<<
Herr Klinkton seized upon this to try to blame the Republican Party, specifically the Right Wing of the Party. This done to help him in the polls, etc.
It worked.
What policital gain could be had if the Iraqi connection had been established?

If that's the case and we have been under attack for 8 years, then the press kept it silent at Slick's request. Otherwise, whoever has been attacking us would have claimed responsibility sooner or later. I need to go buy some more tin foil.
