So sad to see that. You know none of those people lived to see this Thanksgiving we all celebrated today. I for one will never forget them, and pray we avenge their murders until the last terrorist is dead.

I love this thread. It was very theraputic after 9-11. I hope someone bumps this every once and awhile. We need to remember what we are fighting for. We need to thank those that are on the line for us.

They aren't fighting for women to be clad in bikinis. It's disgusting to even suggest that. I am jumping in here. Goodness, gracious! They are fighting to keep women out of burkas!!!! Have you already forgotten that part of the battle?! As a woman, with family in the military, I believe they are fighting to keep us ALL free. Even for women who can and do wear scant clothes, and for the men that enjoy them.
Let's not fight among ourselves on this holiday. I'm thankful for the freedom to post here. Have a good holiday evening.

Heck, this thread is a binary brain-candy for me.
As a flyover country guy, I get the warm fuzzy for all the down-home and
scenic America photos.
And the pictures of the purty ladies is just frosting on the cake!
OK, I also thought it was also a good idea to bump this thread past post "666"!

Don't insult the military with such cheap shots. They aren't fighting for women to be clad in bikinis. It's disgusting to even suggest that. Our military is busting their arses, fighting room to room and YOU come up with THIS trash as the reason we are in Iraq. How sad and insulting.
Where have you been? I started this post over 3 years ago, shortly after 9/11, to encourage people to post visually what they believe they're fighting for. I posted Miss America next to a woman in a Burka, to remind people that quite literally, we were fighting for freedom. Why don't you get lost if you're going to be so uptight or try contributing to what I believe is an inspirational thread. Here's one more, by the way:

Heck, I was just "joshin'" you. I was gonna' bump the thread anyway and
the accident of numbers just gave me another reason to do it.
Hope you (and everyone) had/has a good holiday!
