Jail them and question them 'til they sing like canaries!Question with the use of the 3rd degree.
For those who may not know:
1st degree - The display of the instruments of persuasion.
2nd degree - The deomonstration of how the instruments are used.
3rd degree - The instruments are used.

I am just depressed that this is being seen as a legal matter at all, that the Ethiopian didn't say out loud "what are you guys saying, you are happy that the terrorists blew up the World Trade Center??", in order to draw about 20 "good old boys" into kicking their sissy Saudi asses to next Sunday.I agree with you again, Travis. We are on the same side buddy. I respect you and I understand your position on this thing.
I agree that we have a problem with foreign students also. Let's see how this thing plays out. Maybe the time will arrive when we need to take a hard look at how we are going to handle them. Right now we are re-aligning and finding out where we are as the war commences. Some of these bozos on campus may be relying on pre-911 nostrums that won't hold in a post-911 world if the conflict heats up into a real go-to-the-matresses struggle for the United States.
It's early. We don't really know what we have in front of us yet.

University Police Crime Prevention Specialist Marc Fox said that it basically boils down to "a free speech issue."
"It's horrific, yet legal," Fox said.
Hmmmm....I'm no attorney but I believe that non-citizens are not given the same guarantees as citizens by our Constitution. (Witness the recently expanded rules regarding the detaining of non-citizens).
That kind of talk might be enough to ship those boys back to sandland.

Fine words for PEACETIME.
We are in a WAR.
If you don't see the difference, we have no chance of winning this WAR.
To: MikeJG
I see a big problem here. Our tires are still spinning in the sand of "peacetime legalese-think".
If we don't get our minds wrapped aroung the idea of WAR, then we are going to lose.

Oh my, one guy goes approaches a group of guys and they're the victims? Send the victims home, where'll they'll feel less afraid.

"...a little something called evidence..."
Mr. Kebede seems to have been persecuted by the University without any better evidence. And he is a US citizen. do these foreign students have more rights than a US citizen, then?

Obviously they were trying to intimidate him and infer that he, a black Ethiopian, should not speak "their" language.Don't you know, brother, that all Muslims are equal? It's just that some Muslims are more equal than others.
The Muslim world has accepted Arab dominance for more than a millenium. In some cases entire nations subjugate their own natural national interests to those of the Arab world. There are voices in the Muslim world that are beginning to speak against the Arab religious/ideological/political hegenomy, but they are often only heard on a regional level. A major focus of our public relations effort should be finding ways to amplify them.

Time to run certain students out of the country. At the very least.

It would be such a tragedy if a university were taken down as were the Twin Towers. Can you imagine such a thing? The zealots will stop at nothing.

When I wrote "a little something called evidence" I was referring to a sub-topic in this thread, not to the incident involving Mr. Kebede.

So Travis, Is itl eft to right and then back again or do you work from top to bt. and back and forth, or is it just near to far?
To: Manny Festo
One must quit thing of the attacker as from one seperate sovereign nation. It is the Nation of Islam which has attacked.
To: Travis McGee
Perhaps it's time for domestic enemies to be corrected.

Can you do me a BIG favor?
I heard this SDSU story originally on the Roger Hedgecock Show on local SD talk radio today. Roger is HOT on this issue, and is promoting the Jihad In America show all the time, playing audio excerpts from a video tape someone gave him.
Can you please put the RealPlayer link onto his website via his email? Just go to www.rogerhedgecock.com, and send it to him via email.
This way, thousands more folks in SoCal will get a chance to see it.
Thanks!

Here's the complete text of the Sept. 27 Daily Aztec article the author of the story spoke about.
Four Saudi Arabian males were verbally harassed in the Reserve Book Room of Love Library at about 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 22.
According to police reports, the four students were speaking in their native language when another man, who appeared to be a foreign national, began to call out to them from another table.
Reportedly, the man accused them of being related to the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
