A friend of mine says socialism is a flawless topic. Can anyone give me the URL of PROOF of WHY it doesn't work?

Your friend is obviously a simpleton (economically), so I recommend "The Incredible Bread Machine." I hope it is still in print. Other than that, investigate Hayek and von Mises. Sorry for no URL, but the refutations are too long, detailed, and complex for treatment on a web page.

Go to the History Channel online and do a search on Genocide, Nazism, Communism, and Socialism. If history isn't repleat with examples of their heinous crimes, I'd suggest the DSA homepage, the Socialist Internationale, the Black Panthers, Aztlan online, the Shining Path(what a bunch of winners), current news from Hugo Chavez's Venezuela, NARAL, or any Luddite organization. Your 'friend' is an idiot.

The Cato Institute has several papers on why socialism doesn't work in various aspects of government.
The big reason, from my vantage point, is that socialism removes profit motive. People will simply not work if they will get money/goods regardless.
