U.S. Muslim leader: Jews did it
Cleric says if Americans knew truth they would emulate Hitler

The Jews are responsible for the terror attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, the imam of New York's Islamic Center said in an interview with an Arabic-language university website.

"All the signs indicate that the Jews have the most to gain from an explosion like that," Egyptian Sheikh Muhammad Al-Gamei'a, the imam of the Islamic Cultural Center and Mosque of New York City, told the website lilatalqadr.com, an unofficial Al-Azhar University site. "They are the only ones capable of planning such acts."

The interview was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

"First of all, it was found that the automatic pilot was neutralized a few minutes before the flight, and the automatic pilot cannot be neutralized if you don't have command of the control tower," Al-Gamei'a explained. "Second, the black boxes were found to contain no information; you cannot erase the information from these boxes if you do not plan it ahead of time on the plane. Third, America has the most powerful intelligence apparatuses, the FBI and the CIA. ... How did [the perpetrators] manage to infiltrate America without their knowledge? Fourth, Jews control decision-making in the airports and in the sensitive centers in the White House and the Pentagon. Fifth, to date America has presented no proof incriminating Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida."

These four "facts," said Al-Gamei'a, prove that "only the Jews are capable of planning such an incident, because it was planned with great precision of which Osama bin Laden or any other Islamic organization or intelligence apparatus is incapable. ..."

Gamei'a repeated the discredited rumor, begun in the Pakistan press, that "4,000 Jews did not come to work at the World Trade Center on the day of the incident."

"This news item was hushed up immediately after it was broadcast," he said. "The Jews who control the media acted to hush it up so that the American people would not know. If it became known to the American people, they would have done to the Jews what Hitler did."

Gamei'a, who returned to Egypt immediately following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, characterized the American attack on Afghanistan as "terrorism."

Gamei'a also charged that "Muslims are being persecuted by the people and the federal government" in the United States following the Sept. 11 attacks.

"When a group of people attacked my home, I went out to them and asked why they were doing this," he related. "They said that because we were Muslims we were linked to terrorism. I explained to them that what they were doing was uncivilized and was, in effect, a twofold crime – you let the criminals go free and attack innocents. This does not suit a modern state and a modern people, and is opposed to human values. During my conversations with this group, it became clear to me that they knew very well that the Jews were behind these ugly acts, while we, the Arabs, were innocent, and that someone from among their people was disseminating corruption in the land. Although the Americans suspect that the Zionists are behind the act, none has the courage to talk about it in public."

Why can't Americans talk about these suspicions?

Gamei'a explains: "When I asked them whether they had the courage to talk about it openly, they said, 'We can't.' I asked why, and they said, 'You know very well that the Zionists control everything and that they also control political decision-making, the big media organizations and the financial and economic institutions. Anyone daring to say a word is considered an anti-Semite.'"

You are fools to be so narrow-minded.

Thanks, and now please FOAD.

Your monolithic "the jews" is no less offensive than such gems as "the negroes", "the indians", and "the whites".

In fact, I'm tempted to retort with something about "the idiots", but that would put us on the same level.

I appreciate your frank comments.

Let's review: The First Amendment grants me the right to say these very things that make you feel uncomfortable or offended.

Just as it protects your right to call my statements offensive.

And we could be next door neighbors and get along fine.

Is this a great country or what?

"Let's review: The First Amendment grants me the right to say these very things that make you feel uncomfortable or offended."

Let's review: I did not attempt to deny you your right to free speech (even though it does not apply in this venue) . Hence, I question why you'd bring up the topic of the 1st Amendment, other than to attempt to imply that I had somehow attempted to censor you.

"Just as it protects your right to call my statements offensive."

Which -- as they fit the bill -- I did.

rent the movie 'breaker morant'.

on trial for killing some boers, the prosecutor asked what rule he (and 2 others) went by when killing them? he answered very loudly 'RULE # .303'! (the british rifle caliber). that was a great answer by the way. it's also a great australian movie.

"I keep asking myself that question...LOL!"

Because we (although I am a Christian, I was born a Jew, and consider myself as much a Jew as a Black would consider himself Black after becoming a Christian) enjoy letting them worry about when the other shoe will drop, obviously. :)

If Israel or "The Jews" as he says had 1/10 of the power he attributes to them why are there any muslims left at all?

They, of course, don't. It's meant to whip up Arab hysteria, as if it wasn't already whipped up to the max.

The IslamiNazis have "compartmentalization" down to an art.

They can say "The Jews did it to make moslems look bad!" in one breath, and then forget their lines and say "I will kill more Americans than Atta!" in the next, (and be as believable as O.J. both times).

Are these "clerics" that stupid? Or they think Americans are that stupid?

He wasn't speaking for our benefit. He was speaking to Radical Muslim college students who have been fed this stuff since birth. He could care less what WE think.

Yeah. I've been scratchin' my head over that. They were jumpin' up and down in the streets under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian Authority, in Pakistan and elsewhere, cheering for the great victory of the holy warriors, and in the next breath, they say "the Jews did it." I guess then that the Jews did it for Allah and for his Prophet, peace be upon him.

Let me suggest that this forum would not even exist were it not for the First Amendment atmosphere in which we exist in this country -- though I accept your point that this forum has owner-imposed limits.

Nor did I mean to imply that you were trying to censor me. Why not bring up the First Amendment? It's a great topic.

However, to be frank, I did not know if you understood the distinction between liberty of speech and sensitivity to feelings worn on sleeves. I perceive that you do know the difference.

"Just as it protects your right to call my statements offensive."

Which -- as they fit the bill -- I did.

Yes, you did. And more power to you. (Still, I don't retract anything I said.)
