Count me in BaBa, and your timing is impeccable, by the way. Just this week, the gorgeous chick that I married and I are schedued to give the "Sex in Marriage" talk at our parish's Pre Cana program. Of course, we hit 'em with our Natural Family Planning talk, notwithstanding the fact that half of 'em are living out of wedlock in the first place. Oh, well; hopefully we're at least planting seeds (no pun intended) that will eventually flower!!

Also, I recommend highly that all practicing Catholic and orthodox non-Catholic Freepers subscribe to CatholiCity.com, a terrific site that was founded by some young, orthodox Catholics who send out regular, inspiring e-mails.

Pax.

Oh, yeah, y'all - if you're interested in this thread, then you absolutely, positively must educate yourselves concerning the person and the politics of ALAN KEYES, a man of gargantuan intellect and (Catholic) faith, and once you do, you will be sorry indeed if you neglected to vote for him in the Republican primary.

Your Mississippi background reminds me of a story I heard about 50 years ago georgia .(I am originally from New Orleans, where we were Catholics (Catholic school) or Publics (public school)
Anyway, the new pastor arrived at the Marietta train station and a young colored boy approached him with "Carry your bags, Rev?" the Priest agreed and as they were nearing the taxi stand, the priest asked "Are you a Catholic, Son ?"
Startled, the boy said "Catholic?!?" "Lawd, no. Around here, it's bad enough being a N----- !"

I love Catholicity!

Bud Macfarlane's books were instrumental in bringing me back to the faith 4 years ago.

I pass out their FREE TAPES and FREE BOOKS as often as possible.

Being Catholic is AWESOME!

Just found this thread and thought I'd check in. Incidently, I just attended my first Traditional Latin Mass this past Sunday and found it hugely impressive. I'll definitely go back (St. Peter's in Lexington, KY if any Freepers in the area are interested). Being a member of "Generation X" and educated after the watering-down of Catholicism since Vatican II, I really believe I was cheated out of the eternal truths and teachings of the Church for a long time. Lately, however, I have been working to recover them for myself. It's been very fulfilling. As a final note, I implore you all to pray the Rosary daily and keep our Holy Father in your prayers.

Gloria in excelsis Deo!

Add Hibernius Druid to this distinguished roster. And for those of you concerned about the desacralization and incremental Protestantization of the Roman Catholic Church, you'll want to participate in the majestical liturgy at Saint John Cantius Parish Church in Chicago, whenever you're in the 'hood. Please check out our website:
