No, although I am starting to despise what the world has made of Christmas. I like celebrating the birth of my Saviour.
Don't you find peculiar the similarity between pagan Mother/Child worship and what Catholicism has done with Mary and the baby Jesus? You guys have even appropriated the "Queen of Heaven" title from Jeremiah for Mary. If I were Catholic that would make me a little nervous.

Where in scripture are we directed to worship Christ?
Then in the fullness of time,God sent His Son to dwell among us. And He was human and divine and was given to us through a woman,Mary. He came to the Israelites because they had come the closest to knowing God as He is and God knew that on that fertile and healthy grounding He could appear and His Chosen People were to bring God to His creatures so that all that He made might have a Way to go back to Him.
I would say that articles like that should give you all a lot of food for thought.
Thats true. Genesis 3:15 has been around for a long time. Its also possible that Satan knew about it too and has done all he could throughout history to try to counterfeit what God was going to do.
In The Two Babylons the author attempts to tie all the pagan gods back to Babylon and Nimrod and a perverting of Gods future plan for the redemption of Mankind. He tells the story of Achilles and points out the remarkable similarities between that story and the curse pronounced in the garden that the serpent will strike His heel and that He would crush the serpents head.

OK. Thanks for the clarification! I think I understand where you are coming from now.
Now, I'm assuming this applies to members specifically, but that the general public as a whole, sinners and all, are welcome to come and worship with you?
In the ever quoted words of SD, that is truly sad.
So a year down the road, nothing will have changed, and you will be among all those who defend the will of the church to have it there
If I may ask, what was previously in the spot that her picture now hangs?
Boy are you in for a surprise! Stick around and you might find out. :) Welcome to the game.

I disagree. It was used by those who didn't know Hebrew. Same sort of reason that the mass is now offered in English rather than in Latin. I doubt that many Jews used both. Those who didn't know Hebrew used the Greek, and those that did used the Hebrew. Why would someone who was comfortable with Hebrew ever use a Greek translation? Do you consider the Vulgate or the NAB to be more authoritative?
I gather that many Greek-speaking Jews were attracted to Christianity in part because they used the same Scriptures.
I think that those who were attracted to Christianity were attracted because it didn't require observance of the Law. Same sort of thing that makes people Reform Jews today.
"Jesus is the King, and has come to save us from our sins", could you lose the pants and earrings?
"Jesus is the King, and has come to save us from our sins", sign here and God will bless you tenfold!
"Jesus is the King, and has come to save us from our sins", by and by there are three Gods in one.
"Jesus is the King, and has come to save us from our sins", ever heard of Joseph Smith?
"Jesus is the King, and has come to save us from our sins", Ghana is nice this time of year.
"Jesus is the King, and has come to save us from our sins", I have grieviously sinned with those women, but I'm still your pastor.
"Jesus is the King, and has come to save us from our sins", three Hail Mary's, three Our Fathers and the Apostles Creed.
I love this! SD, I nominate this as 'quote of the day'.
Exactly. Everyone is welcome.
We've even had a couple of Jewish people come....of course they left as Baptists. ;^)

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
