Handgun Sales Up 500%
Fox News

Fox News reporting that, since 11 September, US handgun sales are up an impressive 500%. And that's just the legal ones; black market sales must be through the roof. Rifle sales must be off the scale. That gargling sound you hear is The Brady Bunch stroking-out.
If there is one thing the attack on the US has done is put the gun-grabbers' backs to the wall. Will be fascinating to see what new lies the anti-self defense crowd concoct in the next few years as more terrorist attacks almost certainly occur and more Americans die.

This is good news. I went to a gun show on Sept 15 and it was packed.

Guess we won't be seeing any more of those "Handgun Sales At All Time Low -- No Recovery For Manufacturers In Sight " headlines that the Brady Anti-Rights Coalition were tossing out earlier this year.

Just some anecdotal evidence, I saw a guy buying a rifle at Wal-Mart on Sept.11. Fortunately I already have a decent gun collection so I didn't have the need to buy more after Sept.11. I just bought my Winchester 30-06 in late August. It's nice to be ahead of the curve. :)

The gun stores I know keep selling out. Sky high gun sales is news in every state. It'd be great to see some sales figures. Before this there were enough guns in the U.S. to arm every man, woman and child.

I've been trying my best to comply with the "One handgun a month law," but it's sure getting expensive!

This is good news indeed. Unfortunately, we here in New York will remain defenseless because our "esteemed" politicians would rather be hung by their toenails than allow its citizenry to arm itself.
FReepers in more civilized states: Be glad you live where you do, 'cause we're just sitting ducks out here with big old bullseyes on our butts.

Instead of watching the gun sales, turn around and watch its reflection in our ultra-left wing, extremist liberal, pinko media. If you watch the reports of criminal and domestic violence, where a gun is used it will be mentioned repeatedly and in detail. Where other than a gun is used, no weapon will be mentioned or, if mentioned, it will be deep in the story. We may be at war, but the media's socialist, anti-America agenda keeps marching on. Let's post these stories as they occur.

I almost bought a gun the other day. Who'll give me the slight push to send me over the threshold?

Is a "hnadgun" a gun that is loaded with family jewel seeking bullets?

What stopped you? If you can afford to buy one, do it. Go to the shooting range and practice. There are few things I enjoy more than target practice and seeing improvement.

Do ya' think I'd get in much trouble if I took a month off? I'd like to buy some food...

"Fox News reporting that, since 11 September, US handgun sales are up an impressive 500%."
No surprise! I have several liberal friends who have said they are shocked that their "unenlightened neighbors" would be out buying guns! They have said to me, "what the hell do these people think..., they are going to have a terrorist visit them personally?".
My reply is simple..., these folks understand that, if a major terrorist incident occurs in their area, THEY ARE ON THEIR OWN! Law enforcement personnel will be fully occupied 24/7 with the immediate emergency and, consequently, response time to a 911 call WILL BECOME DAYS rather than an hour.
This explanation seems to resonate since my friends now want to visit the range and do a little practice in anticipation of becoming gun owners themselves!

What stopped you? Was too busy to make the planned trip to the gun store.
