Trust me, if there were any Taliban behind those lines, they would be killed by the Northern Alliance. And if you want to get nit-picky you better not donate to the salvation army. Some poor American street kid that you help clothe or feed may grow up to rob you or kill you!!

Do you think it is possible that there are Taliban spys that have mixed in with the norther Alliance?

How do you know if the Northern Alliance wins that war that they will be "friendly" to Christians or Jews or even the USA..is that more of your trust??Or is it a guess??

I read an article on the Drudge Report that said some (don't know how many) food drops are landing right in the middle of mine fields. Could that be why so few people are in the pics?

All that food for ten people? Doesn't look like a very populated area. Some rumours say that people are burning the food, one rumour said a charity organization was complaining that the food had been dropped in a mine field.

I hate to think that this is more government waste, maybe it's not, it sure is hard to tell though.

Anyone else - moms especially - who can't help but look at that photo of the itty-bitty child next to the MRE's without wishing you could just reach out and scoop her into your arms? Give her a hug, a bath, some nice clean warm clothes and take her to McD's for a happy meal. :) Sigh...

What's nice about these food drops is that the food can be stored. I hear the winters get pretty bad in that country, and this will help them through the winter.
