If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

Hey, the Braves beat Houston!! And John Smoltz was throwing 99 mph fastballs.
University of Oklahoma (alma mammy) walloped Texas U. Another year of sweet happiness.
Have a new great-granddaughter.
No anthrax yet.
Life is good.

AND our country is more united than it has been in years. We have managed to put aside partisanship and face our crises together!

I expect W to solve my worries for my country and a good neurosurgeon to solve the rest of them; Oprah can't solve a 2nd grade crossword puzzle. I read on another thread that somebody's 84 year old grandma is too scared to open her mail and that got to me bigtime.
My dad says he's never been depressed a day in his life and can't understand it; you're probably like him, and don't know how lucky you are!

I can still make my husband weak in the knees when I wear my tight t-shirts. And my groupings with his Glock are better than his.
Oh, and the kids are planning their Halloween costumes, and all of them involve guns of some sort.

My immediate supervisor, (from Texas), & his wife had a baby boy about three weeks ago.
The child's middle name is W. Nothing more, just "W".
I seen the baby for the first time today, he was sound asleep. His Mom said he was just worn out from watching Dubya's speech last night & cheering him on!

A really hot looking single blond woman just started moving into the vacant apartment upstairs from me today. So far, her only help appears to be her mother, no sign of any help from a man. I'm on my way to offer assistance now....

I've decided to buy a 1971 Boattail Riviera with a 455 4-barrel carb.

Someone of meager means blessed me with needed money out of the blue. Humbling. Sweet. Touching. Kind. Like Jesus.

Twelve days ago, my younger son returned safe and sound from his year long around the world trip...he was in some countries, where we feared for his safety, and he was in some dangerous situations...so we are thrilled that at last he is home...he is currently staying with us, and that just thrills us...nothing a mom likes better than to cook favorite meals for her son...
My hubby and I will be married 32 wonderful years in 13 days...we have our ups and downs like any married couple, including the terrible down of losing our older boy to leukemia, but we rejoice that he is with God..
Being from the state of Washington, our Mariners won their playoff game yesterday, and the hubby and son were lucky enough to see that game in person at Safeco Field...
We all have our health, each other, and FR is online...much to make me happy...

After 4 years of 3 girls in college, the last one graduates in December. The oldest is in law school and just interviewed with the JAG Core (button bursting pride there), one twin is actually well employed and the other did well enough on the LSAT to be getting scholarship offers. They all know how to sing the Star Spangled Banner. My contribution.

The doctors died. But, the patient with five years to live is still doing great, twenty-four years later. How's that? I've heard of patients like that. They drive their heart doctors to an early grave. :)
Good on him!

My daughter is out of the country, but one I'm not worried about. My husband and I are going to see my son this weekend, who is in college, and yes, we're flying! Need a hug.

That would be a 455 and a 4 barrel carb.

My doctor told me I only had two months to live. I told him I couldn't pay him for three months so he gave me another month!

I'm getting a new pistol in a few days. Does that count as happy news?
I swear. Every gun I buy is pregnant. ;)

Bait, the ugliest cat on the planet, threw up a bit ago and missed the computer keyboard. LOL!!!! Thanks for that!!!!!!!
Over time, the michigander family has developed a phobia about boasting about ANYTHING good that happens as we feel all things equal out in the end.
Why tempt fate? :-)
