If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

We received a radio message from ofMagog a few minutes ago from high in the rain forest canopy complaining of screaming monkeys all night and a cold misty rain. His rope hammmock is strung out from the small platform 70 feet above the ground. He says their camp looks like a giant spider web from the ground. He asks that Snow Bunny bring uo coffee and doughnuts for him and the three Costa Rican Scout leaders.

Mrs. oMmi!! How delightful to hear from you!
On behalf of all the somewhat deluded miscreants on this motley crew, allow me to *SALUTE* the glue that holds together our beloved Capitan.
We appreciate the group therapy he has offered - sorry we psychoceramics have not responded very well...:)))
He has not yet made clear our Mission once we reach San Diego.
Please verify we really are going to debark and proceed in Conestoga wagons in order to reach Colorado by Thanksgiving.
(We give thanks daily for such friends as he has brought together.
You may radio that with our love.)

I got married a couple of weeks ago, on September 29th, and my relatives weren't scared away from flying out by the terrorists...

My puppy (terrier mix) ripped open a bag of sugar last night, and was up to her eyes in it chowing down.
She appears to have suffered no ill effects.
Gave us the best laugh we have had in weeks!

wow Billie you always find the most delicious things. What a beautiful cake for ofMagog.

One more thing...
May I make a nomination that 'Shark Bait' be renamed 'Phish Bait'
in honor of our beloved CHIEF negotiator?
He loved to phish.
(Bait won't notice the difference - on the other hand, might shape up!)
May we be ever guided by his memory and example...

I woke up again today, after a good nights sleep, to a sunny Florida day. It is balmy, warmish, smells good and my heart seems to be doing it's job. These are all happy things.

My brother got the results of his final professional accountancy exam today (his birthday too) and passed with flying colours.
His achievement is even more remarkable because he sat the exam, just days after our dear Mam died unexpectedly in late August.
Mam is smiling in heaven today! *S*

OfMagog radios thanks for the birthday card and delicious cake. He's still in the high canopy with some Costa Rican Boy Scouts and their leaders, all working hard.
In honor of CHIEF negotiator, Phish Bait will most gladly accept the new, and proper name.

On behalf of the crew, we appreciate
Phish Bait's magnanimous acceptance of the name change in honor of CHIEF negotiator.
(please, though, whatever you do, do not let Phish Bait help plot the course!)
Our best to you and ofMagog...

I haven't kept up with all of the conversations, I'm sorry to say, and I don't know who the new name "Phish Bait" is for - ofMagog?

my daughter celebrated her first birthday yesterday. She is so proud of herself that she can walk. = )
To: Billie
Billie, Bait was 'Shark Bait,' ofMagog's cat aboard the vessel, described as a dock stowaway in the past with one ear and definite survival skills!
Forgetting just who it was, someone recently suggested we dangle Bait overboard by the tail, this placing in my phine mind the idea he/she should be redesignated 'PHISH Bait' as an appropriate moniker.
Bait thus will forever be a reminder of our dear CHIEF 'navigator,' who loved to phish when he was not taking us among icebergs instead of tropical waters...
