feel we are not part of those generations.

1. We were too young to serve in Vietnam, but remember the news.

2. As far as we're concerned, the music, television and popular entertainment and heroes of the 60s were and still are a matter for personal taste, and don't represent the shining apex of all civilization, icons to be revered by generations to come - in short, the Beatles were just a band that some might not like, and old Trek was cheesy and not well written.

3. Old boomers came into adulthood at while we were playing with Barbies or G.I. Joes.

4. Our clothes and music tended to be lighthearted, and we are more conservative/libertarian as a whole than the older boomers.

5. And of course, we faithfully watched The Brady Bunch every Friday night.

Groovie Baby! This is correct IMO.I was born at the end of the "Boomers" and had NOTHING in comon with older boomers.I always thought the boomers were crazy because of all the stuff i saw older boomers doing (burning the flag,anti-war demonstration,the flower children,the bra burners,drugs etc). I always felt like i wasn't part of that group (didn't want to be). This (Brady Boomers) is more "me". LOL ;)

Speaking of toys, did anyone ever have the Evil Kenievel where you would attach the cycle to it's base, crack it, and when you stop cranking, you send him on his way? I might still have that too.

Born in 1965, and yeah I had that toy. That one had longevity for all the abuse it took.

On a side note my mother never passes up an opportunity to tell folks about the time my grandfather took me to the grocery store and I said "Hey Grandpa, look at that 'Foxy Lady!'"

He demanded to know what my mother had been letting me listen to. I guess grandpa wasn't into Hendrix.

I was born 4/28/1965... the 60's meant nothing, I wanted nothing to do with the 70's and the 80's RULED! Ronald Reagan was like a second father!

What about those cars that had the rip cord and when they would run into something the doors, trunk, and hood would fly off!

Yeah it was. Those were the days when movies were actually scary. I'll never forget the made for TV movie with Kim Darby called Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. With these little creepy guys that came out of the closed off fireplace that she insisted on opening up. "Let's hurt her. Kill her. Kill her now."

And Night Stalker, the original "X-Files." That show was scary. I used to watch that show with my mom every week.

I remember wearing dresses that barely covered your butt - heaven forbid you got thirsty because there was NO way you were bending over to get a drink at a fountain. Did anyone else wear your skirts out of the house and then roll them up to the length you wanted after your parents were out of sight?? Remember when pantyhose became available and affordable to the masses - no more garter belts!!! (I think this was around the late 60's) Going to the drive in every weekend for you dates. I remember my 2nd date was to see Shaft (the original!) and Pretty Maids All In A Row (Rock Hudson) at the local drive in - 1972 I believe.

YES! Demolition Derby something or other. Had one. I'm thinking there weren't too many toys in them days compared to now, cause it's not like I had em all. But I sure remember most of the ones you guys are mentioning. That one had the doors and hood and such that didn't match the body. Another good toy.

We used to meet up at recess and have a demo derby! I also had a Big Jim doll with his rescue van. It had a cherry picker on top. He had a chain saw and an arm pooping band (thats what we called it) Piece of plastic you put around his bicep, and when you flexed it it would pop off. Hate to admit I had a doll, but it was a spinoff of GI joe (I hope!)
