Boy does that bring back memories! I had the creepy crawler, which was just a low powered oven and a finger smashing vise! We are such weenies that they would NEVER sell something like that. I also had the wonderful SST cars, which was a car with a big wheel in the middle and a ripcord that you pulled. And hot wheels, which you charged up with a battery powered pump and then they raced for about 5 minutes. And the whirly choppers, which was pretty cool, a working helicopter that was attached to a rotary base by long wires, good way to learn about flying.
I still have football cards from 1969...sigh..7 cents per pack! And lots of that sheetrock style bubble gum..
I used to have them too. I was born in 1966, BTW. I might still have a few SST cars somewhere. That helicopter you are talking about, that's called a "Vertibird." I used to have one too, it was the coolest. Wish I still had it, it would be fun to spook the cats with. B-)
Speaking of toys, did anyone ever have the Evil Kenievel where you would attach the cycle to it's base, crack it, and when you stop cranking, you send him on his way? I might still have that too.

Here are the required follow up questions. If you have to ask who any of them are, you're NOT a Brady Boomer.
Betty or Wilma?
Betty or Veronica?
Samantha or Jeannie?

Betty or Veronica? Betty of course Veronica was a snob and always fliritng with Reggie!
Samantha or Jeannie? JEANIE she was sporting the Bare-Midriff look long before Shania or Brittany were born! (And might I venture was much better looking! I will never forget when she did a guest shot on The Andy Griffith Show, the Mayor of Mayberry spoke some of the most profound words every spoken on the boob tube when he and all the men of Mayberry were gawking at her as she walked down the street:
"That Gentlemen is a female!"

Sure the Viewmaster was cool and portable, but did anyone here have a See N Say record player?

Thanks! I love the thread. We have more fun here than the other Generational threads. ;^)

Sure the Viewmaster was cool and portable, but did anyone here have a See N Say record player? Oh man there is some serious memories!
The "See N Say" set in stone two things I dearly love in life. I remember one See and Say record was of "White Fang" and I loved the story so much my Grandmother bought me the book and of course I read it from cover to cover! When I finished I asked her if they made other books like this, soon after I got my very first Public Library Card! (I've read books nearly every day of my life since then!) The second was on the flip side of a "See N Say" and I don't think it had pictures but it explained about Rock and Roll music and the difference between a Bass Guitar, A Rhythm Guitar, and a Lead Guitar and how they fit together to create some groovin tunes! The very next Christmas I got a cheap but very real acoustic guitar that I still have to this day! (I ended up having a very lucrative business from the time I was 17 to about age 31 Playing music in one form or another!)

"If you didn't have 8 track, Three Dog Night and Deep Purple's Machine Head, then you couldn't have lived in the '70's....or bought something from K-Tel." How about E Pluribus Funk?
