Here's a direct private FR email I received from Jim: I do not want the article on FR. I don't care who else printed it or what their title was. Not here. Jim
And with that, my days of Freeping are over. I believe that the owner of this forum has the right to have things the way he wants them. No argument comes from me on that one.
However, if I post an article with someone else's title, and specifically state whose title it is, I do not think that the thread should be pulled. I would venture to say that the people of the forum should decide for themselves if a title such as that was appropriate.
But it's not my call.
Take care, fellow conservatives. It's just a bit too touchy-feely around here for this brotha.

And just why should Jim take all the flack just because you feel the need to post a particular article here on this forum. Why? What was so great about one particular article that it HAS TO BE PRINTED ON THIS FORUM even though it uses a word in the title that will rile many people?
I feel sure you will be able to find other articles that won't cause Jim all the trouble that this one might. I don't think we will miss seeing that author's words of wisdom.

"This guy doesn't even come close." Yup.
A+Bert has more Opus Posts than most of us have total posts.

Regarding Cornel West, I think he is one of Jim Henson's most controversial and funny creations. I like the way his muppet hair flies around when he spouts vacuous observations masquerading as some sort of bizarre intellectualism. Har! Great imagry. West is like a caricature of himself, or an over-the-top character that might be played in a SNL skit.

I don't know why you're addressing me. I didn't post it. And I didn't complain when it got pulled either.

.....hang on ....let me get a tissue.........sniff*
I get articles and posts pulled all the time by Jim. Most of the time he is right on the money too (notice the the phrase MOST OF THE TIME)but I keep pushing the envelope in hopes Jim will be caught napping.
Point is, none of us are paying to post here. I'm not paying for server space. I don't think the domain name is registered to me.

Hey!
Come back here!!! You left your tinfoil on the floor young man.

I believe that the owner of this forum has the right to have things the way he wants them. No argument comes from me on that one. And then you proceeded to argue, by telling us that the posters, not the site owner, should have the right to decide on the appropriatness of a title? Your logic circuit just blew a fuse.
It's kind of silly to run away for hurt feelings. But then, I guess you wouldn't survive the next flame war anyway, if you're that sensitive. ; )

Is this about a FrontPage article?
To: rdb3
YOurs wasn't the first thread with N-word in it pulled and it certainly wont be the last.
Bottom line is it is John R's choice to pull whatever he wants....call it what you like,,,,it doesn't matter...this is his house, and you play by his rules.

The opus lacked, shall we say eloquence, much less specificity. If and when I go, I promise to do better. :)

I for one think A+Bert has been on banned long enough (this round). Let's start a move to get him back. I sure would like to hear his take on recent events....no matter how weird or senile they are!

Whoops! Sorry - it's getting too late. Nevermind.

Come on rdb3, link the article or at least post the link. Do not leave... keep a stiff upper lip, and let us all get on with it, fellow freeper... Many bonehead posters have made mistakes and are still posting today, including many posting to this specific post... Alas, I am not humble enough to include myself..
Go ahead I am in my secure cave in Kabul, lets rock!!!

But I promise you when I do, someone like you shows up, you'll be allowed to post anything you want. No restrictions. (Death threats are about the only thing I would pull from such a site, simply because I wouldn't want constant visits from law enforcement with subpoenas demanding my user account lists). We need a FR that has no moderator and no PC - a "PC-Free Republic" (maybe I'll go register that domain right now...)
There was one already....it was called the G Gordon Liddy Discussion Forum. The flames and personal attacks were childish and not worth wading through.
Thank God it got pulled (although I do miss banging heads with Diogenes and Larry)

I've seen 'em come and I've seen 'em go......
rinse and repeat as needed.
