Night Line - Question did anyone else see this show tonight?
October 10, 2001

I don't know about you, but I think this show was irresponsible in it's reporting. They were saying such things as our friends would not be supporting us in any other campaigns other than Afaganistan. Thanks for the aid and comfort to bin Laden. Our allies would not follow us into Iraq if necessary. Now I have not heard that anywhere else. I thought Tony Blair was pretty clear. If we do not root out this evil it will always be there to haunt us. I'm writing to Ted's sponsors. I haven't watch this show in a very long time and now I know why. Democrat bull**sh**. What is your feeling?

I've been railing about this since the DAY AFTER the attacks. The day after, they put together a piece which blamed the US for the attacks. It was sickening. SIckening.

And since then, it has been non-stop pro-terrorist propaganda.

You are not alone in noticing this insanity. Ted Koppel is an idiot and the rest of ABC news is too damned stupid to be given any responsiblity. They are dangerous in their stupidity.

You think ABC is pro-Israeli???

ABCNEWS is virulently ANTI-Israel -- they routinely portray Israel as a fascist state, while casting the "Palestinians" -- no matter how murderous -- as sympathetic figures....

I don't think it matters really. I've seen the look on Bush's face and I've heard him speak firmly when others in the administration are a little timid. I think he is in it for keeps regardless of the rest of the world. I was particularly surprised by that note to the UN the other day telling them what was coming no ifs ands or buts.

Who side is he on anyway?

Not ours.

They will try and try to demoralize us.

After the 911, Nightline did some segment on anti-Muslim acts in the US because of the attack. They went through 20 minutes of stressing this, and at the very end in about 10 seconds stated, the Muslims they talked to all stressed that 99% of the people have been nothing but nice and have even gone out of their way to be friendly to them.

What was their whole piece about then? Answer: nothing but propaganda to confuse and spread mistrust and animosity.

political HUMOR/ cartoons? Well, that applies to those traitorous news anchors, but not their terrible effect on our nation's optimism.

You are absolutely right about this. It drives me nuts!

Can you remember when Ted and his show were not only relevant, but commanded a large audience and had a great impact on discussion and thought?

It seems now that the real Howdy Doody is a more fitting subject for nostalgia.

I never watch Ted K. I noticed him tonight in just changing the channels and after Bush came out and was angry about what a Senator had said to the Washington Post (that was not published) I couldn't believe that he would undermine use so much. The bum. Our troops need our support.

I know I felt really demoralized when I heard this. We have to take this all the way or otherwise we will have 5000-500,000 killed by the time they are done with us. What is wrong with some of our society?

That show is still on?
I remember at the height of all the Clinton scandals and breaking news, Nightline had shows about "technology in a box" or something, and all kinds of subjects that avoided the scandals. I thought the show died and went off the air around that time.

When I left his show long before Fox News I thought he was a responbile person, I guess tonight he showed us something different. I also watched the BBC and maybe they are not willing to see this thing through. I am not willing to give up yet. This has to have a conclusion at least in my grandchildren's years of growing up. They and all of our children's children should not be subjected to this kind of terror for the rest of their lives.

I am not surprised Blair has said what he did tonight......I think after Afghanistan, all nations will re-assess, possibly while lone US carries on.

Our men and women have been instructed this is a 6 mth, less than 2 year operation, does not seem there is much left to do in Afghanistan.

I personally like Koppel's show (NOT JENNINGS!) and take it with a grain of salt however.

All I can say is UUUUmmmmm. Not good. He is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. If thinks we are willing to give up or our allies are willing to give up, he has a lot more for us. I will not take this kind of crap off some two bit hustler from a worst than third nation. There a lot of other people out here that won't take it either.

I understood that Blair himself had stated they (GB) would not go on beyond Afghanistan. Hmmm........need to look into this. If Koppel is saying this without the *nations* stating this directly, then that is a problem.

I hate terrorism, but not Afghanistan, that's to broad a sweeping statement, no better than what BIN LADEN's people are doing with regard to the US.
