I do not know whether this has been posted here through another source or is being pulled in threads or not. But through military sources and a private document I saw with my own eyes 2 names have been listed as the leak to the Washington Post. p> Sen. Orrin Hatch Republican from Utah and Senator Diane Feinstein Democrat from California. If this is pulled I will understand. This source is 100% accurate. I am currently writing a piece on our national security at this current time for one of the papers I write for. This is bound to come out soon. So I figured I would post this here first.

So where did the initial report that he did reveal secret info come from? If Hatch bashing is justified, where is the certified list of his alleged wrong-doing acts (aside from the usual BCCI stuff that never dies). I'm willing to give him some leeway (He's a anti-Clinton Pubbie, don't forget!), but I cannot understand all the Hatch bashing without some better evidence of his wrongdoing. If Bush didn't blame Hatch, why are freepers?

Put 'em both on the ground in Afghanistan in Full Combat gear...let them represent us where it counts.

Thanks for posting this---a great service to us all!
I wish I could say, "I'm shocked!" Hell, I'm not even surprised. Both Feinstein and Hatch function in alternate universes, hers is arrogance and his is befuddlement.

"If Bush didn't blame Hatch, why are freepers?"
Why not?
Seriously, Hatch leaked once, maybe twice, before (I'm not sure)and not too long ago. There was a minor flap about it in the media, but not a lot. FReepers have the attitiude: "Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice...," and no longer trust Hatch (understatement here). I think the essence of it all was that Bush Admn. pubically, albeit mildly, rebuked Hatch for this.
Anyone else recall the details I am obviously lacking?

A leak? We have better office gossip! It's like spotting a big black cloud overhead and saying it might rain soon. A couple million people with no internet access knew for sure that an attack was coming and started running. Are we talking about OUR attack on them or another attack on us? There is too much doubletalk and confused language being used.

I don't believe you. Hatch was already publicly rebuked by Rumsfeld for giving away signal intell methods a few weeks ago, he wouldn't do it again so soon.
If I had a scoop on a story of this magnitude, would I post it on FR first, NAhhhhhhhh! No way.

That's fine Rob. I am not out to win votes as Freeper of the year here. I stand by my source period. I know what I saw. If you read the entire thread through you would see that I said it was info that was added to an article I was doing. I didn't run here at all. I had heard that people at the NY Post had picked this up and I did not even know if it had come out yet by the time I came to FreeRepublic.
Anyway, I wish none of it happened but these were the names shown to me and I went to my internet home family and shared just like I would with anyone who is in my house.I know that there are people all over that browse and lurk here. I waited the 36 hrs or so to wait and see if the names came out. I saw rebuke from Feinstein and Hatch basically get the all clear. Hatch is a bigger picture not just the Washington Post story. So I will leave it here as far as your thoughts go.

Has this been confirmed?
Yesterday I noted my DC people were telling me it was Not mccain and the names mentioned were Conyers, DiFi, Wyden

Thank you! My thoughts exactly. <-- (Sentence fragment -- written intentionally for "style" purposes; I do know the difference between "creative writing" and journalism! *G*)
I for one have been in contact with which the brain's in my head seem to operate. (Sorry; I had to do that!) *VBG*
I'm not inclined to believe the instigating post. I am so glad that a couple of people finally questioned the veracity of the crux of this entire thread.

There needs to be some strict rules and guidelines for these @ssholes. For now, anyone got any duct tape?
To: go_avs
LOL! Not to mention that, according to the AP stylesheet (that journalists know extremely well), one does not use a numeral to represent numbers unless that number is above "nine."

I agree with you -- no way is Hatch going to leak any information after the rebuke! And I, too, wouldn't put this leak out on here.

That was "writing to [his/her] liking?" ". . . in which I am friends with . . . ?"
Uh-uh. <-- (conversational)

I have known some folks here for some time now , and long before the short time I joined the familia here . I do not know this poster , nor have we wrote once in the past , but I'll drag iron with him on this 1 . Some of us know and witness the chatroom mentality , debate for the simple sake of having an argument types . I dont take cotton to that , but so be it . I'll stand with the poster . and yes , we will know either way . Ben

I buy into your Feinstein theory, makes the most sense to me.
But I have to ask, is your real name Orin Hatch? "Attention S. Florida Freepers,..." : ^ )
