Prentice, I looked for you last night but all I could see were Rams celebrating in the end zone.

Hey Pupster...
We were in the end zone corner where Warner threw his first touch down pass. It was awesome. That is an incredible team...very enjoyable to watch.
Hey I said I'd take the Lions with 45 points. I was right...pay up y'all.
:-)
I need to share one thing. I was a bit nervous in the crowds as we went in. There was ample security (I even saw black helicopters!), but nervousness was there just a bit. When we finally got to our seats there were tons of American flags...tons of fervor. Everyone I talked to just wanted to send a message to Salami Bin Blaber....UP YOURS! It was a great sensation. Everyone was there in spite of the threats, just like us, wanting to send a message.
As a game....it sucked (cept for watching the best team in the NFL). As an event it was priceless.

Yes we did.
Our two older sons came with us....we had never been to a Professional football game. Like I said, if you were a Lions fan, the game was terrible. But watching the other team was fun. They are the best, an admirable trait.
One thing for sure...you couldn't say where's a cop when you need one
We have a great country.

I went to Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium

but I don't remember football tickets ever not being expensive

You have to get in a rowdy mood. Lots of different people. Some rough, some on Prozac...most just plain old rowdy.
We were in a non-drinking zone...it was funny watching people leave their seats and come back rowdier. lol.
We didn't even buy a beer....they cost $6.
To: Prentice
Nice scene. Thanks for being there and for telling us what it was like. When all this is over we'll look back and find that we won in part because folks like you and Linda said, "We're Americans and we will not be intimidated by the evil cowards who practice terrorism."

When I was in high school I lived just across the line in Connecticut. WE visited Shea stadium when the Mets first started. They were really a bad team then and tickets were very cheap.
To: Prentice
I remember when the Mets first started
I was still living in Queens then
there were a lot of jokes about the Mets

What was amazing was how many different kinds of people were saying the same thing.
This country is strangely united over this thing. It was very evident there. It was very heartening. It was so loud for the first quarter....I thought the roof would collapse.

Bobby Valentine went to my high school.
I saw him in Detroit at a Tigers game back in the eighties. He was the manager of the Texas Rangers then. He was fired a week later.

Hi everyone; it's been awhile.
how have you been palo? i assume lovely?
To: Prentice
I don't know how much baseball tickets were
my high school boyfriend either took me bowling, or to the movies, or to see the Yankees
(he was a Giants fan -- but the Giants had left NYC)
Love, Palo
