He had been hinting for several months that he had some sort of health problem.

You can send him a note here:

Yeah. I heard him talk about it, too. Maybe the reason for the change in the pitch of his voice is that he couldn't hear it. It's heartbreaking, you know. My grandmother suffered from similar symptoms. It is like going through life underwater.

We should all pray for him. It is times like these where we realize how special -- and how fragile-- God's gifts really are.

In those dark days of 1992,when Bill Clinton won the election, I thought the country was finished and that the only people who thought the way I did were my family and a handful of my fraternity brothers. He gave us hope. May God bless him and keep him safe.

I have heard Maher attack him time after time, especially how "Rush lost his TV show", which was the highest rated show in his timeslot despite the industry trying to make him fail, like Dr. Laura. Maher is really putting on a puppy dog face the last couple of weeks because his nonsense is no longer being tolerated.

Dear Rush:

I'm sorry to hear that you have suffered hearing loss. I too suffer from this but not entirely.

You have been heard by millions, and your voice has been a beacon of light, a symphony against the choros of society who shrills a free ride.

To say that you have heard our plight, your voice has lifted us when no other media would listen or relate.

To lose your ear, for those of us who hold you dear, does not bring fear for you will still revear by reading aloud, your voice still heard.

God be with you in this time of self examination. You will prevail and we will wait to listen and celebrate your voice.

Yes what has happen to Rush is very sad but as Rush has always taught us you can put a postive on a negtive and I believe that if Rush continues to do his show it will be better than ever before. Rush is a talent and talent as Rush would say is a gift from God!!! I think he will overcome this and be stonger than ever!!!

-- KFI here in California has been running the DoD press conference and we missed the whole explanation.

Another KFI listener here who missed Rush's explanation, which I had been waiting for. Thanks to those who are posting this information.

Where the hell is the justice in all this?

sadly there is none - only the prospects of a long drawn out war with ass-hole-ama bin laden and all of his supporters around the world, and the hopes that God will smile upon our nation and lead The USofA to victory over the evil doers...

God sometimes tests us - but have faith - God is good!

I have Meniere's Syndrome and have about 70% hearing loss in my left ear since I was about 17 - the dreaded 'nerve deafness'.

I remember the first time I stumbled across Rush on the radio - I thought 'how could anyone say EXACTLY what I'm thinking'? About 90% of the time I still think that.

I can't see Rush staying home enjoying a pity party. I think he will continue to do his show - NO ONE can replace him. In fact, I think this will make him better than ever.

Today surgeons can correct an eye lense. I've been informed that there is a comparable surgery for correcting hearing as well.

I 'll tell you what... I wasn't as shocked as I thought I would be hearing this kind of news. You know why? Because it's RUSH!!! If ANYONE can continue a radio show after losing his hearing, it's him! THat's like a Quarterback going blind in one eye!

I have NEVER seen someone as focused, optimistic and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence as Rush Limbaugh. I have 100% confidence that he will either beat this thing entirely, or he will continue to do his show to the best of his ability--I have NO doubts!

Rush...You will continue to be an inspiration for Conservatives all across the fruited plain for MANY years to come, no matter what happens to you or us! Thank you for everything!

12. "it ahppened to atwater, it could happen to rush" Lee Atwater recanted the nastiness that he espoused in election after election when he was on his death bed with a brain tumor. some people see the light after tragedy.

10. "no no no no" goddess. you got it all wrong. we wanted him MUTE not DEAF, and usually we only shouted that because we couldn't find that particular button on the remote fast enough. i respectfully ask that you reverse this.
and yes, goddess, i know this wouldn't necessarily hamper his career. he hasn't made his living *listening* to people, so we all appreciate the irony that he may no longer even be able to. but it's still not nice. you should have just gone for another butt boil or something.
disrespectfully yours,

13. "So what?"
People lose their hearing all the time. You guys act like he's got a terminal illness. If he was losing his hearing and had to count on an HMO to get it taken care of, I'd then feel sorry for him.

For crying out loud. It's his damn karma, and we have no obligation to act like this is a tragedy.

He's deaf in his right ear and 90% deaf in his left ear. He can recognize voices with a powerful hearing aid. Unless they can stop it he will be deaf in a few months.

Where would we be today without Rush all those 8 long years in the 90s? This is a terrible tragedy for him, but he is such a positive person, I'm sure he will overcome it somehow. Rush, all the best, and a lot of prayers are out there for you.

Mike Savage made Rush obsolete years ago anyway.

Savage's biggest handicap (at least the one that makes me tune out) is that he can't carry on a decent phone conversation with a listener. If the caller tells him what he wants to hear, he thanks the caller and moves on to the next one; if he disagrees with the caller, then he calls the caller a name and cuts him or her off.

If he wants to stay in the limelight, he'd better figure out how not to be so thin-skinned with his callers. If he can't debate the callers fairly, then he might as well go back to writing books.

Satan is the King of this realm, the physical world.

Totally WRONG. God rules all.
