Michael Matt, editor of the Remnant a traditionalist Catholic newspaper published the following report on their website. We have been informed by a reliable contact in France that Sister Lucy (the only surviving seer of the Fatima apparitions) has delivered a message to Carmelite sisters in France. According to this report, Sister Lucy recently received another communication from the Mother of God. In the wake of that communication, we are told, Sister Lucy has asked Carmelite sisters throughout the world to pray specifically on the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary for a special intention. That intention is, we are told, that the world might be spared a blood bath. Whether this has any connection to the impending war with Islamic terrorists, we have no way of knowing. Though our French source is reliable, we have not been able to confirm this report ourselves, and are now in the process of trying to do so. At least two Carmelite convents in the United States have indicated to us that they have NOT received such a message. One Carmelite convent, however, did confirm that they did receive a letter from the Asociatcion Ntra. Sca Del Rosario in Fatima Portugal (dated September 13th, 2001), which did call on the Carmelite order to unite with Sister Lucy in praying for peace in the world on October 7the Feast of the Holy Rosary. In this letter (written in Spanish) there was no mention of a recent communication to Sister Lucy from Our Lady, nor was there reference to a blood bath. We are presently waiting for the text of the French version. In any event, we believe that, because time is short between now and the Feast of the Holy Rosary, it would be a good idea for all Catholics to join the Carmelites in praying for this intention on tomorrows Feast. Such an intention is a certainly most worthy, especially right now; so even if this French report turns out to be somehow exaggerated, the intention is still well worth remembering during this critical hour of unrest and uncertainty in the world.
After many days and hous of diligent searching, I found the answer to your earnest question. It comes in the chapter and verse of the NT immediately after the doctrinal definition of the Trinity, as you and I understand it today, is literally laid out, and immediately before that verse where the principle that the BIBLE ALONE is the sole rule of faith is revealed, not Scripture AND Tradition.
Once you find that chapter and verse that declares, "The Trinity is the term employed to signify the central doctrine of the Christian religion -- the truth that in the unity of the Godhead there are Three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, these Three Persons being truly distinct one from another," immediately you will find the verse "Where in the Holy Bible did Jesus or any of the Apostles teach anyone to "venerate" idols, images or whatever term you prefer?
And of course, the same chapter contains the proof text that the bible ALONE is the sole rule of faith, not Scriptue AND Tradition.
Oh, by the way, when you locate ALL THREE proof texts get back to me.
Until you do, kindly stop asking me, "Where in the Holy Bible did Jesus or any of the Apostles teach anyone to "venerate" idols, images or whatever term you prefer?"
Hopefully, when you realize there is simply NO PROOF TEXT in Holy Scripture that proves your and my conception of the Most Holy Trinity, and that there is NO PROOF TEXT in Holy Scripture that proves your position of Sola scriptura, you will have the answer you were looking for.
Hopefully, furthermore, when you realize there is simply NO PROOF TEXT in Holy Scripture that proves your and my conception of the Most Holy Trinity, you won't become a Jehovah's Witness, because that is the natural conclusion that comes from your myopic, truncated view of Scripture and revealed Christian truth.
You're right and it amazes me that through ignorance of the Bible catholics can be led so far astray.
969. "'This motherhood of Mary in the order of grace continues uninterruptedly from the consent which she loyally gave at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, until the eternal fulfilment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation .... Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, BENEFACTRESS, and MEDIATRIX.
509. "Mary is truly 'MOTHER of GOD' since she is the MOTHER of the eternal Son of GOD made man, who is GOD himself."
963. "Since the Virgin Mary's role in the mystery of Christ and the Spirit has been treated, it is fitting now to consider her place in the mystery of the Church. 'The Virgin Mary . . . is acknowledged and honored as being truly the MOTHER of GOD and of the redeemer.... She is 'clearly the MOTHER of the members of Christ' ... since she has by her charity joined in bringing about the birth of believers in the Church, who are members of its head.'[LG 53; cf. St. Augustine, De virg. 6: PL 40,399.] 'Mary, MOTHER of Christ, MOTHER of the Church.'[Paul VI, Discourse, November 21,1964.]"

"'Finally the Immaculate Virgin, preserved free from all stain of original sin, when the course of her earthly life was finished, was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory, and exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things, so that she might be the more fully conformed to her Son, the Lord of lords and conqueror of sin and death.'[LG 59; cf. Pius XII, Munificentissimus Deus (1950): DS 3903; cf. Rev 19:16.] The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is a singular participation in her Son's Resurrection and an anticipation of the resurrection of other Christians:
In giving birth you kept your virginity; in your Dormition you did not leave the world, O MOTHER of GOD, but were joined to the source of Life. You conceived the living GOD and, by your prayers, will deliver our souls from death.[Byzantine Liturgy, Troparion, Feast of the Dormition, August 15th.]"
Matthew 12:46 As Jesus was speaking to the crowd, his mother and brothers were outside, wanting to talk with him.
Matthew 12:47 Someone told Jesus, Your mother and your brothers are outside, and they want to speak to you.
Matthew 12:48 Jesus asked, Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?
Matthew 12:49 Then he pointed to his disciples and said, These are my mother and brothers.
Matthew 12:50 Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!
MARK 3:31 Jesus mother and brothers arrived at the house where he was teaching. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them.
MARK 3:32 There was a crowd around Jesus, and someone said, Your mother and your brothers and sisters£ are outside, asking for you.
MARK 3:33 Jesus replied, Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?
MARK 3:34 Then he looked at those around him and said, These are my mother and brothers.
MARK 3:35 Anyone who does Gods will is my brother and sister and mother.
LUKE 11:27 As he was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, God bless your motherthe womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!
LUKE 11:28 He replied, But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.
Jesus made it clear that Mary wasn't greater than any other Christian.
It is amazing how so many of them get mad when you show them what the Bible says, odd for people who call themselves Christians.
LUKE 1:26 In the sixth month of Elizabeths pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee,
LUKE 1:27 to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David.
LUKE 1:28 Gabriel appeared to her and said, Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!
Luke 1:46 Mary responded, Oh, how I praise the Lord.
Luke 1:47 How I rejoice in God my Savior!
Luke 2:21 Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived.
Luke 2:22 Then it was time for the purification offering, as required by the law of Moses after the birth of a child; so his parents took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord.
Luke 2:23 The law of the Lord says, If a womans first child is a boy, he must be dedicated to the Lord.
Luke 2:24 So they offered a sacrifice according to what was required in the law of the Lordeither a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.
Leviticus 12:1 The LORD said to Moses, Give these instructions to the Israelites:
Leviticus 12:2When a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son, she will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is defiled during her menstrual period.
Leviticus 12:3 On the eighth day, the boy must be circumcised.
Leviticus 12:4 Then the woman must wait for thirty-three days until the time of her purification from the blood of childbirth is completed. During this time of purification, she must not touch anything that is holy. And she must not go to the sanctuary until her time of purification is over.
Leviticus 12:5 If a woman gives birth to a daughter, she will be ceremonially defiled for two weeks, just as she is defiled during her menstrual period. She must then wait another sixty-six days to be purified from the blood of childbirth.
Leviticus 12:6 When the time of purification is completed for either a son or a daughter, the woman must bring a year-old lamb for a whole burnt offering and a young pigeon or turtledove for a purification offering. She must take her offerings to the priest at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
Leviticus 12:7 The priest will then present them to the LORD and make atonement for her. Then she will be ceremonially clean again after her bleeding at childbirth. These are the instructions to be followed after the birth of a son or a daughter.
Leviticus 12:8 If a woman cannot afford to bring a sheep, she must bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons. One will be for the whole burnt offering and the other for the purification offering. The priest will sacrifice them, thus making atonement for her, and she will be ceremonially clean.
Any 7463 word post to a thread IS indeed spam.
That was a 7463 word condemnation of your cult. I never thought I'd see someone who claims to be a Christian demanding censorship of the Bible.
It certainly lets the air out of the "we equally accept Scripture and (man-made) tradition" popaganda.
Like Luther removing 6 books from your Bible, and 500 years of protestants since accepting such tomfoolery???
Sorry, the cult is not mine. My Church is founded on Christ and His Apostles, yours on a couple proud men who revolted against the authority Christ granted His Church. Your idolotry is in placing the Bible above Christ's Church. Christ never wrote a single recorded word. But He did build a Church, and He did give it authority to lose and to bind.
Please, keep posting. You're driving them home to Rome still.
Jesus Christ.
This will be my final correspondence with you. May God Bless you abundantly, unbeliever.
