Sr. Lucy Receives New Message
Diocese Report ^

Posted on 10/07/2001 4:41:26 PM PDT by HapaxLegamenon

Michael Matt, editor of the Remnant a traditionalist Catholic newspaper published the following report on their website. We have been informed by a reliable contact in France that Sister Lucy (the only surviving seer of the Fatima apparitions) has delivered a message to Carmelite sisters in France. According to this report, Sister Lucy recently received another communication from the Mother of God. In the wake of that communication, we are told, Sister Lucy has asked Carmelite sisters throughout the world to pray specifically on the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary for a special intention. That intention is, we are told, that the world might be spared “a blood bath.” Whether this has any connection to the impending war with Islamic terrorists, we have no way of knowing. Though our French source is reliable, we have not been able to confirm this report ourselves, and are now in the process of trying to do so. At least two Carmelite convents in the United States have indicated to us that they have NOT received such a message. One Carmelite convent, however, did confirm that they did receive a letter from the Asociatcion Ntra. Sca Del Rosario in Fatima Portugal (dated September 13th, 2001), which did call on the Carmelite order to unite with Sister Lucy in praying for peace in the world on October 7—the Feast of the Holy Rosary. In this letter (written in Spanish) there was no mention of a recent communication to Sister Lucy from Our Lady, nor was there reference to a “blood bath.” We are presently waiting for the text of the French version. In any event, we believe that, because time is short between now and the Feast of the Holy Rosary, it would be a good idea for all Catholics to join the Carmelites in praying for this intention on tomorrow’s Feast. Such an intention is a certainly most worthy, especially right now; so even if this French report turns out to be somehow exaggerated, the intention is still well worth remembering during this critical hour of unrest and uncertainty in the world.

yeh, yeh, yeh, go play with your beads, burn your insense, say your 1000 'virgin' hail Marys, look for signs and wonders in bowls of fruit. Man what a gunked-up, man-made hocus-pocus religion. Total nonsense. A religion designed for population control. And yeh, let's talk about that oh so pure history of the catholic church. Get the racks ready. And oh, that's was apostolic my mistake.

Then why, in the book of Revelation, did he address "The Seven Churches which are in Asia" and leave out the church in Rome?

Uh...last I heard, Rome is in Europe not Asia.

Keep trying.

The Society and other Traditional parishes are saying the same Mass and observing the same ordinances that have survived for two thousand years.

Amen! Thank God there are some real Catholics here. Those Novus Ordo cultists hate the Church and so now attend a phony protestantized "Mass," complete with hula dancers and bongos, and they call we who have NOT changed "schismatic." As our Yiddish-speaking friends would say, that's chutzpah.

May or may not be SSPX (lotsa neo-Nazis in that bunch, BTW,)

Where the hell do you get off slandering a group of people who are dedicated to celebrating the timeless Mass of St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Jerome, St. Augustine, ALL the other Doctors of the Church, countless saints, popes and so on as "neo-Nazis"? Those who hold to the Mass as codified by Pope St. Pius V FOR ALL TIME, who pray for our Pope John Paul II at every Mass (does your church do that?), who follow Catholic traditions which have lasted for more than a thousand years? These you call "neo-Nazis"?

This is the most despicable and disgusting thing I have seen posted on Free Republic for a long time. If this statement is not abusive I don't know what is. I do not know the mind of God, but one who slanders those who hold most closely His Church will surely be held accountable.

All human flesh is under the sentence of Original Sin.

In short, the Catholic doctrine of Original Sin is nonsensical rubbish.

In addition, not having been around when the so called "Original Sin" was committed, I refuse to accept any guilt you or yours would force on me.

With all due respect, considering some of your posts, you might consider a little more circumspection on the issue of "nonsensical rubbish."

In addition, not having been around when the so called "Original Sin" was committed, I refuse to accept any guilt you or yours would force on me.

Whatever gets you through the day.

Hammerhead is pretty obviously a disruptor. His remarks about population control give him away. If you ignore him, he will slink back to The Nation, whence he came.

Perhaps you could elaborate on your statement concerning "lotsa neo-Nazis in the SSPX." Could you please explain what that statement means and present examples of "neo-Nazis" in the Society - copious examples, by the way. I'd like to investigate this very serious charge which you have obviously researched assiduously and with great attention to scholarship. I discerned that by your use of "lotsa".

The Chinese Communist sponsored "Catholic Patriotic Association" also prays for the Pope at every one of their masses, and then cheerfully deny the Pope any practical authority. I don't see the difference between them and SSPXers. One can celebrate the Tridentine liturgy at an indult mass, but that would require submitting to the Supreme Pontiff, something which you schismatics apparently can't bring yourself to do, even though the Bull Unam Sanctam says it is necessary for salvation.

And in today's Protestant world, you can marry five times and contracept all along the way and still think you're going to Heaven.

Guess what THAT takes?

Do souls who die as infants need a savior?

Yes.

Do mentally incapacitated individuals need a savior?

Yes again.

Neither are capable of sinning. Are they left out in the cold?

No, they are not left in the cold, and yes, they are capable of sinning. All humans are born with a sin nature, born sinful. If you hold any other belief, then you start to come up with a sort of "age of responsiblity" sort of problem; "Well, children don't know any better so they aren't sinful until they're, say, five." Unfortunately, this is both Scripturally and logically unsupported.

Besides, if we say that you have to be responsible before you can be accounted sinfully, you start getting really nasty ethical questions that don't pop up if you simply hold that everyone, from the oldest man or woman down to the newly-concieved child, needs a Savior.

Come to think of it, your respective hateful remarks sound amazingly like Americans who have no sense of the war we are in ... giving comfort to the terrorists who hate the American civilization we have, which remarkably (to your respective ignorances) includes Catholics who are religious and love this country ...

Apparently, ridicule of Catholicism is perfectly acceptable, since your posts have not been pulled ... but more disheartening than that, is the smug prejudice which you equated with cleverness
