Explosions Hit Kabul Three explosions have lit up the night sky above the Afghanistan capital, Kabul, in the first signs of an anticipated allied strike. Sky News correspondents reported seeing three large flashes about 15 seconds apart around 8.15pm Kabul time, or 4.45pm London time.

In Bamiyan, for instance, Afghans stood in line for up to two hours in the snow to cast their vote.

Great post Meeko! That's what its about! Congrats to Afghani people for their determination and to the men and women of the armed forces who have fought and died. Their actions and sacrifices have not been in vain.
